THE FIREPLACE CRACKLED SOFTLY, MAKING THE SCENERY OF THE LIVING ROOM MORE COZY. She was on one of her few last pages of her sketchbook which wasn't surprising since she's had it for a few years.

She hummed as she drew Lucy and Norrie, the two girls were sat on Lucy's bed, grinning at one another. She figured Lucy would enjoy it especially since Ziggy planned to color it. Lucy always loved drawings of the two.

That was the only thing that Ziggy missed about their town. Norrie.

Footsteps in the living room drew Ziggy out of her reminiscent, the brunette looking up to see who was coming in.

Topaz eyes met chocolate brown and Ziggy gave Lockwood a smile. "Hey," she said, watching the boy sit down on the couch next to her.

"Hey," he greeted, holding two books on his lap. One was a small plain black book while she couldn't see the second one.

"What are you up to?" She asked, gesturing to the books.

Lockwood shifted and if she didn't know any better she could say that Lockwood was almost nervous but that would funny since Lockwood was hardly nervous. "Locky?"

"Here," he said, shoving one of the books at her. "It's for you."

Ziggy sat her pencil down on her sketchbook to take the book from Lockwood, confusion written all over her face. She scanned it over, her eyes widening when she saw it was a sketchbook. "Lockwood, why did you-"

"You're always drawing," he interrupted, looking at her. "And I saw that you were almost out and I think your drawings are nice so I got you a new one so you didn't have to worry about running out."

Ziggy looked at him, meeting his gaze as a smile rose to her lips. "Thank you," she said. "I appreciate it."

Butterflies erupted in her stomach, making her look away from him as she was unable to hand his gaze, her cheeks turning red. God her crush on him must be so oblivious.

And that's what this was, a crush. As much as she tried to deny it, she had flirted with him because she liked him. And she actually wanted him to like her back.

She's had a few boys like her back at Jacobs but she had never returned their interest. In fact she thought that something must've been wrong with her when she never seemed interested in anyone and that feeling on solidify when Lucy and Norrie started crushing on each other.
