Minjoo was making her way inside the cemetery, figuring Jaemin was already there.
She was right. Her father was seated next to his wife's grave, head hung low above his knees, questioning everything he was doing wrong for his daughter. "Why are you here?" Minjoo asked gently, sitting herself next to him as he slowly lifted his head.
"I got mad at Umi." he said, his heavy breathing was heard clearly, Minjoo patting his back. "I shouldn't have gotten mad, but she makes me worry so much. She's so reckless." Jaemin uttered, his tears falling onto his jeans.
"What is going on between you two? You're all that she has left—" Minjoo said. "You are all that she has left. She doesn't listen to me, she barely even looks at me in the eye ever since Bomi died." Jaemin cried, holding himself tightly.
"But the thing is..she doesn't even know who I am. She thinks of me as her manager and nothing else. You are all she has left. Stop arguing with her. What did you two even argue about?" Minjoo asked, concern in her voice as Jaemin shook his head.
"She wanted to go to the company...I told her no and that she should stay in because at that point I was really thinking about what happened to Bomi and then Inhye..it really got to me. So I told her to stay in, but I was really mad so my words didn't sound as worried than I wanted them to be."
"She told me she was capable of her own decisions, I get that, but I really didn't want her to be out. I shouldn't have said it, but she really pushed me..I told her that if she were to end up like her mother or Inhye..that I would never forgive her. Umi started crying and I tried comforting her but after what I said, she pushed me away.."
"She went to her room and I left. I can't seem to function anymore. I can't even make my own daughter happy. It's so dull in that damn house, either we're both there but in different rooms or only one of us is there. It's so tiring.."
Jaemin took a short pause all while Minjoo sat and listened beside him.
"I just want to turn back time. I was wrong, I know that, but I don't want to loose my daughter too.."
