I was walking down the dark hall, the sound of my boots clicking against the floor. I was currently on my to meet up with one of my many employers to talk about a job. Something simple enough: track down a man by the name of Cole Booker and kill him. He had been draining the funds from a wealthy man, and he was tired of it. Kill the man, return the stolen funds and I get paid decently. Best part about this job was that I already had a lead, so if I did end up taking it I wouldn't have an issue starting.
Let's hope this initial discussion goes well. Being a woman in the late 1900's in Japan who killed others for a living wasn't exactly easy. Even with my reputation as the Red Saint or the Reaper, which ever you prefer, I wasn't respected. In fact I was always underestimated, and when or if my employers found out who exactly I was they would laugh. 'Your a woman! There's no way it's you!' They'd laugh with large grins. Which always pissed me off to the point that I usually killed them too.
When word got out that I had started killing employers, some pretty well known bad people, I started getting labeled as a 'hero'. I didn't mind that as much except when people started to stop hiring me and instead started raising the already large bounty on my head. Eventually I started getting recognized as the Red Saints and The Reapers assistant. Thus making both of my nicknames separate people from me, which in turn pissed me off even more.
I approached the door to the big man's office, and immediately I heard voices. "So we really wont see what the Red saint looks like? It's just his assistant that's coming in?" One guy asked kinda annoyed. "Be nice to her when she comes in, she dictates weather or not we get one of the two best hunters out there." A man with a deeper voice stated kinda aggressively. Without knocking I entered, there was three men in total, one sitting at a desk and the other two standing as guards on either side of the room. Immediately they froze and looked my way.
"I hope I'm not interrupting, I'm here to discuss the details of the bounty you put out." I said monotone, my expression unchanging. From there we went on to discuss payments, if they wanted Cole Booker dead or alive, etc. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, what did struck me as odd though was that the two guards kept glancing to the clock above their bosses head and then to the door. They were waiting for someone. Or something. This was an ambush. Shit.
"Well I think that concludes business, I'll contact you when the jobs done" I said my voice and face unchanging as I stood from the seat. Immediately the man in charge tensed and started making excuses as to why I shouldn't leave yet but I gave him a polite smile and bowed respectfully. "Mr. Chisaki, I am really busy woman. I should be heading out, thank you for your time sir." And before he could answer I walked out the door. Briskly walking back down the hall way with a 'normal' expression a man in a cap with a matching blazer of sorts walked towards me.
Was he apart of the ambush? There was no clear identifying weapon and he didn't have a large build. He seemed perfectly normal. We walked past each other, him bumping into me as we did so. When I went to look back down the hall it was gone. "What the?" I started saying as I looked around me. I was outside in some kind of field. There was odd large buildings surrounding me, everything around me was overwhelming bright given just a moment ago I walking down a dimly lit hallway with no windows.
I tried to take a step but almost felt sick at the motion, my head pounding. What the hell is going on?! Where am I? How did I get here? I took a moment to breathe and when I felt like I wasn't gonna to pass out or vomit I slowly started walking around trying to put pieces together to an impossible puzzle. I pulled out an American styled pager but it started going on the fritz. Showing random numbers that didn't align with any of my codes or signals. "The fuck?" I hit the pager against my palm a few times but it didn't change, cycling through random numbers not stopping.
"Hey!" A deep raspy voice yelled to me. I turned to the noise and looked at the man. Dressed in black with a really long grey scarf draped around his neck. His voice was different from what I was used to, almost sounding like a different kind of Japanese. Behind him stood a group of children wearing odd getups of bright colors. "Who are you! How did I get here!" I yelled back, I kept my composure as I internally freaked out. My body tensing as it instinctively prepared to either ran or fight if I had to.
He looked confused at me for a moment. "Where the hell am I! Are you with Chisaki?! Is this their ambush on me?!" I yelled angrily at him. "Answer me damn it! I'm not in the mood for your games" he still looked at me confused but this time he answered. "I'm not with any ambush, your at UA high" his voice seemed to calm a bit but still held that small threatening tone. He tried taking a step towards me but I just took one right back. "UA high? You mean I'm in a high school right now?" I questioned.
"That doesn't make any sense I was just in the Yakuza, I don't understand...." I said more to myself then to him. "Your probably here because of a quirk." He said I think to try to calm me down so i didn't bolt or attack. "What the fuck is a quirk?" I replied a little more aggressively then I had initially intended. He took a moment to try to comprehend what I was asking almost as if he didn't believe I had no idea what he was talking about. "Do you know your name?" He finally asked.
"Yea, I'm not telling you that though" I say right back. I'm trying to weigh my options here, I'm in some kind of school. This man speaks a weird style of Japanese so I'm probably no where close to the Yukana clan. All I have on me is a few small knives and a panic button for my brother but with the way my pagers acting up it's probably on the fritz too. This is not looking good. "Why not?" He asks again, the sternness returning to his voice.
"Maybe it's because I'm a woman in a location that I don't now with no logical explanation of how I got here, and no offense you don't look the most trustworthy." I say with a chicly tone, clearly annoyed with my current predicament. I could run but he would chase me and he knows the area. This is really not looking good. "Alright fair enough, I'm shouta Aizawa." He says with a small grin almost like he's ready to laugh too. "Pleasure. I'm Bane, y/n Bane."
He looks puzzled again as he looks at me. The children behind him all hold confused looks aswell, some snicker while others whisper. "What? Is my name funny to you?" I ask kinda offended at the reaction. "Well it's just that y/n Bane is dead, has been for about 200 years now." The man now known as Aizawa looks at me with a questioning look. "Ha-ha-ha, if that were true I don't think I'd be standing here right now." I state again hostilely as I take a cautious step back ward.
I need to get out of here, now. "Don't run, I have backup on the way. There's no where for you to go Mis. Bane." He says watching me carefully. I take a moment to listen to what he says and I think for a sec. "Alright, i won't run. But I want answers right now, what the hell is a quirk and why does that have to do with why I'm here?" I say not really moving. "A quirk is a superpower, most people have them. I'm thinking that someone used one to teleport you here." At that I chuckle. "Yea right. Superpowers don't exist." At that he gives another puzzled look. "Alright I'll prove it to you. Uraraka come forward please" he asks. A girl in a bright pink bubble like suit steps forward she picks up a rock by her feet and a moment later it starts floating in the air.
"What the fuck?" I take another step back kinda freaking out. "Alright so they do exist but they didn't a moment ago so give me just a sec." I say putting a hand to my head, a throbbing sensation flooded my brain. Grunting in pain I try to focus. Immediately there are arms around me and I'm not sure what's happening. When the throbbing stops Aizawa is holding me gently. My chest heaving as I push him off. "Don't touch me!" I scream taking another breath shaking the ache from my head.
"Alright powers suddenly exists now, I was teleported here from the Chisaki manor before their planned ambush on me. My equipments on the fritz and there's a rumor going around I'm dead. Did I miss anything?" I look to Aizawa as I try to put the new puzzle pieces together. "Oh that's right! I'm in a high school of all places because that makes sense." I shout to myself. "Look I don't want to hurt any of you, I just want to go home and frankly I don't trust you. Any of you." I point around.
God, if I'm presumed dead then Eddie's gonna have a conniption if I don't get in contact with him soon. "I understand that but unfortunately I can't just let you go." He says as he try's to take another step to me which I instinctively take another step back to. "I figured you were gonna say that, god when are men gonna stop underestimating me? I've had it up to here with all the misogyny." I put a hand above my head to bring my point across. God men are so fucking infuriating. "Listen here, this is how this is gonna go. I'm gonna walk away without hurting anyone and your not gonna chase after me. I don't want to immobilize you but I will if I have to." Glaring at the man I put my hands up defensively as I speak. "I can't allow that." He responds and he grabs the scarf around his neck.
I let my reflexes take over and with in a moment I have him in a head lock between my thighs and knife pressed against the artery in his neck. "Don't move, I don't want to kill you. You seem like a pretty decent guy and I rather not have your blood on my hands or in this case thighs." I hear footsteps approaching fast and when I look up there are more adults in weird costume.
"Stop moving! Any of you move and I'll kill him right here. I don't give a shit if the kids see, I'll do it." They freeze. Through the crowd a large white rat thing comes through the crowd, holding a tea cup? What the shit? "Miss.Bane! How nice it is to meet someone of your importance." It says with a cheery tone. "What? What are you talking about?" I say a grimace on my face. As I hold the knife closer to aizawa's throat. It stops a few feet away before speaking again.
"Well your a legend Miss.Bane! Having being both the Red Saint and Reaper of the 1900's. Ya know your classified as the first hero despite your death toll" it says happily with that same calm tone. "Alright so you know who I am, although I'm not sure about the whole hero bit. I don't want any trouble, and I'll let him go unharmed if you direct me out of here." I ask trying to reason with the creature. "Unfortunately we can't do that. You see a time traveling power is what brought you here, and if we let you walk out nothing will be the same as what your used to." He sips his tea after the short explanation.
"Ok, so what's gonna happen now?" I narrow my eyes at the bear not lowering my guard. "That all depends on you Miss. Bane. If you let Erasure head go no harm will come to you and we'll help you get home, but if you don't then we'll have to take you into custody." I look at the bear and then to the man in my hold as I weigh my options.
