Today is the day. Experiment #3 will finally give out the test of her strength, will she survive? Will she die? No one knows until we see it in our eyes. Experiment#4 was anxious of his beloved as his mind waa overthiking of how things will go wrong at any second and how he will never be able to look Experiment #3 in the eyes again if what happened today doesn't work.
He's a good man. He loves her. But when he saw her struggling with the strength experiment, he couldn't help but feel like this would be the end. It hurt him. When she said that she would be okay and everyone will succeeded he can't help it but feeling like she knew that she'll die and only said it to make him feel better. I hope it wasn't the case. Suddenly, monochro announced the next experiment on the speakers hearing him saying "Experiment #3, come to the lab." His eyes widded a little as his heart started to beat out of fear. He knew that she won't do well today. He knew this experiment might take away his love from her. She will get weaker because he was not there for her when she needed him. He wanted to cry but didn't want to make a scene. She wouldn't believe he did it. Experiment #3 shouted. "Welp, I guess its time I start getting stronger, right?" Her face is contorted as she tried to put up a brave smile to try to convince herself that everything will be fine. "Y-yeah..." He smiled a small tear rolling down the cheek. They started walking to the laboratory , the silence broken by their footsteps. They didn't speak and the tension in the air is starting to get unbearable. The walk seemed to last forever as they kept looking around them every now and then making sure they don't get attacked on the way. The silence was deafening. When they reached the lab she said: "Here we are! I can't wait to get out of here. it must've been years staying." She stopped. She then notice #4 blankly looking at the door static. "4... I know that you are scared right now but trust me when I'm saying that things will be okay.. Even if I die, you'll still have the others so it doesn't really matter right..?" she smiled reassuringly at him."I know.." He replied. "I just... I hate seeing you struggle so much, and even if I know I can't really help you I am still worried." Her face looked crestfallen for a moment when she was realizing how much pain she'll give if she leaves. "I know about what you said about "Not worrying" and stuff but, I still can't get enough for you. You're the only one I have, who understands me more than anyone else... I just... can't..." He tried to stay clam as he was about to cry but he didn't wanted to let it out loud. He got closer to her as he touched her hand squeazing it. Not letting it go. "You're all I have, I wouldn't even know what I'll do without you.. so please, tell me the truth... Are you REALLY sure you'll be able to survive? Because if you are not careful, you might never see us again. Me and the others care so much that we are all worried of how things will go, and if anything, we can always ask monochro to change the subject." She and him stayed silent as #3 didn't have anything to say. She just wanted to make everyone smile even in the dark situations but no matter how much she tried it seemed impossible. "What if... What if the test fails?" He asked quietly. He looked at her with hopeful eyes and her heart melted. "Then i'll find someone else to become my partner so that we could both be together, alright? After all, nothing lasts forever..." He nodded his head and hugged her. And as the two cuddled each other for the umpteenth time since they were born, the tension between the two slowly dissolved into a soft kiss. After a few seconds their lips parted as they stared at each other lovingly. Their hearts beating in sync. They both felt their faces heating up at what they had done but they were too happy to care. "Please be careful, 3" he said. She nooded as her hand started to let go on his walking to the lab. She opened the door with a small smile on her face. "Thank you!" she said quietly holding her tears. And then the another step she took the doors suddenly closed living Exp. #4 alone. "I love you, #3..." He whispered.. That was the last word he said before the fail. Then the others appeared behind him walking right past him to comfort him. "So... what did she say?" Experiment #2 asked. "Pretty much about how things will probally go wrong in any second at the time she got inside. I've tried to stayed calm but I couldn't. I still wish I could do anything to keep her alive still, if only we had a recovery, maybe me complaining about her death wouldn't happened." Experiment #2 looked guilty and apologetic but the others didn't think much of it as the experiment has never failed, even if they all have doubts about whether Experiment #3 survives or not. "It's alright, it's been awhile since her first try." #1 said softly. Experiment #2 nodded and continued talking. "But seriously, I'm scared to death for her, what if something happens? I'm so glad I met you guys but I don't want to lose her..." "Yeah me neither, she's too sweet to die" Experiment #5 said. Experiment #1 just nodded in agreement while #2 gave him an assuring smile and pat his shoulder, "It'll be okay, she won't go anywhere." "Thanks guys," Experiment #4 muttered quietly to himself...
A silent felt into them and the rest, it's been 1 minutes after her experiment and nothing bad happened. Until a loud painful scream came to the distance of the door with shattered noises coming in the backgrounds and fall. Their eyes of the other experiments widen as a bloodcurdling scream sounded. "She didn't!" Experiment #2 exclaimed. "#3?!" He shouted running towards to the door to open it, and in any second they are going inside, her dead body was lying to the floor with damages in her. Pieces of her were missing and bloodly shattered glasses were in the ground . Her hair was covered in her own bloody and blackened blood. There was some glass embedded on her neck from where it hit her and the wall, which was now red with blood. All of them fell to the floor screaming, "#3!!!" He screamed in horror quickly rush to her to help her. "3?!!! 3!!!???? CAN YOU HEAR ME?! ARE YOU OKAY??? PLEASE WAKE UP!!!" He screamed again, but there was no sign of her waking up or even mumbling. "NO!!" "No, no... NO!!" "NO! IT COULDN'T HAPPEN!!!!!!! SHE... SHE PROMISED ME... I-" Experiment #4 cried, tears streaming down his face. He held his head close, trying to prevent the tears from falling from it. But the others just shook their heads crying silently, the horror of the experiment taking over them. "No.... No... No!! No!! This isn't happening, this couldn't happen! Why does she have to suffer this!? Why is it happening! Why!?!?!!" he yelled in frustration. Tears poured down his cheeks in streams as his vision started to blur slowly...Months has been passed. And Experiment #4 still haven't gotten over about #3's death. He still remember the pain of having to wake her up from her sleep and watching the damages she got into her. It was still painful for him to think about that. It had been days since she died and it has been a year since he found out that she had gone missing. He would sometimes dream about her being killed in front of him and it would always make him upset thinking that she would die while he watched. He was so tired of having to watch her suffering because of him. The guilt he was feeling ate him alive. He wished he had done something different than what he did but it doesn't seem like he had any chance to stop his experiment, and it seems like he was doomed to live in agony for the rest of his life. And the only word he could ever think of of her, was 3 words. Like her number.
"I miss you, #3..."
