Choosing an alpha

Jimin had been single his whole life. He had always been busy with work and enjoying life to really settle down. However, he wanted pups. At least one. But without being mated and usually being alone that seemed to be an impossible task.

He had decided to look into alternative methods, he was a perfectly healthy omega and figured he could very well carry his own pups he would just need an alpha to essentially impregnate him, then leave. It was simple really. They offered clinics for single omegas, or even omegas struggling with fertility. They'd match you up with the best possible donors and that was that.

"You're not serious about this are you?" Jungkook eyed his best friend after reading the broacher for the clinic. "It seems..."

"Unorthodox." Jungkook's mate, Munhee said.

Jimin shifted uncomfortably in his chair. "I don't think a traditional relationship is for me. I'll be fine without an alpha for the most part."

Munhee rubbed her baby belly and sighed at Jimin. "I think maybe becoming mated would be best."

"For who exactly?" Jimin raised his eyebrow. "It's not like I can't care for my baby." Jimin shook his head slightly annoyed. "It's just business, a contract."

"Are you positive Chim?"

Jimin nodded and looked out of the window. "I never needed an alpha before. Nothing changes." A twinge of pain pulled in his heart at saying that.

"Not everyone is Taehyung you know." Jungkook placed his hand over Jimin's.

"Obviously." Jimin glanced down at the name of his ex.

"I'm worried this idea may not be whats best for you." Jungkook voiced his concerns.

"The only thing in my life missing is a pup Kookie."

"So run it by me again. How does this work exactly?"

"Well um, I go to the clinic and meet with several matches for me. I decide if I want any, if I do we proceed."

"How does that work exactly?" Munhee said.

"I move the alpha in here and when I'm in heat we... well you know how a baby is made." Jimin waved his hand around her belly.

"Are you sure this is safe Chim?" Jungkook looked concerned.

"If I feel like anything is not right, I will call it off." Jimin smiled.

Jungkook sighed and looked at Jimin. "If this is what will make you happy we of course support you. We just want you to be happy and safe."

Jimin smiled at his friends for accepting the situation. "Thank you."

"Will you be telling the others?" Jungkook asked.

"I want to see how this goes first." Jimin smiled brightly.

"Of course." Jungkook grinned back. "Who knows maybe you'll find your mate in all of this."

Jimin's smile turned into a frown. Jimin liked to think of himself as independent. Well he essentially was independent.

"Also." Munhee looked at Jimin concerned. "Aren't you still a virgin?"

Jimin frowned again. For his friends saying they supported him, it sure seemed like they did not. "Well... yeah." He shook his head. "It's not like it matters."

Jungkook eyed his mate in a way that said leave Jimin alone. "Well it was nice seeing you Chim." Jungkook grinned, maybe next time we'll have an alpha to introduce ourselves to." He wiggled his eyebrows.

Jimin smiled again forgetting the prior scene where he was being bombarded by questions. "Yes, maybe."

"When is your appointment set up for?"
