The line rung until it turned to voicemail.

Izuku sighed through labored breath.

"Hey, Ochaco...I'm calling one more time to tell you how much has changed."

His breathing was labored as if he's injured.

"I was never the same man after we broke up...I'm less emotional, less loving, I'm less...me."

He chuckled then coughed.

"Sorry, if I sound weird...I'm hurt pretty bad."

He paused for awhile.

"I don't think I'm gonna live."

There was a long pause.

"But this forest I'm in is really peaceful, I can hear birds chirping, there's a squirrel that's running up a tree right now."

He laughed.

"You'd probably tell me to stop talking, to save my strength...but I like talking to you...even if it's just a voicemail."

There was a long pause.

"I never stopped loving you Ochaco, I know why you broke up with me and I understand, but I want you to know that even...even when I'm dying, I still love you."

There was heavy breathing for a minute.

"I...I think I should probably end this voicemail...I-I can feel my strength leaving me."

He chuckled softly.

"Oh yeah, and I defeated the villains here, you don't have to worry about that...they just got in some good hits beforehand...I've got a team coming to save me...but, they won't make it before I..."

All that could be heard on the voice mail was labored breathing, until it went quiet for a few minutes.

"Voicemail length reached."
