MK's POV:

"What... what did you do?" I can hear Mei's voice over the pounding in my ears. "MK... how-" Tang's voice starts off tentatively, but Pigsy's voice cuts him off. "Kid. Snap out of it." Snap out of what? I turn around, about to ask why they're talking like that. They're farther away than I would've thought. "MK?... Tang, why are his eyes... oh no." Mei's eyes widen as I take a step towards my friends. Pigsy steps in front of Tang and Mei, adopting a brave stance. "Pigsy. Get out of my way." I hear my own voice say, almost unconsciously. "Kid, this isn't you. You're letting-" All of a sudden, I'm tired of hearing Pigsy's voice. They're talking to me like I'm a monster. They think I AM a monster. I'll prove them right. I advance faster than I would have previously thought possible, and I swept Pigsy into a chokehold. "Don't say that." I say, almost not noticing my own voice. "This is me. I'm me." I tell him. He shakes his head mutely. "MK! Stop! You're hurting him!" Mei shouts out desperately, from further away. I gaze blankly at Pigsy, who's still locked in my chokehold. I gasp. I... What have I done? "You're a monster, MK.." I can hear Tang's voice ring in my ears. You are a monster. You are a monster. I am a monster. I am a monster.

Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm blares in my face as I groan and stretch out my arm to turn off the noise. "Dang it."  Great. My alarm has fallen off of my night stand. I slowly arch my back, letting the motion slowly spread through my body and wake me up. "I hate Mondays." Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm rings again, and I jump. "Alright, alright! I'm getting up." I toss my legs over the side of the bed, and I stare off into space for a few... beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm insists as I blink and stare at it. What time is it? Wait... I rub my eyes and peer closer. 9:45. Crap.

Mei's POV:

"Where is MK? We've been waiting for him for 45 minutes! I swear, he's gonna get himself fired one of these days." Pigsy shouts, while pacing in his kitchen, glaring at me, Tang, and Red Son in turn. All of a sudden, MK skids down the stairs into the restaurant, with his shirt on backwards and his bandanna in his mouth. "Mphrrm!" He says, his voice muffled. I glance at Red Son. He's probably glaring at MK for holding the meeting for so long, but instead he's just staring at MK, his jaw dropped; oh, that's right! Red Son's never seen MK with his bandanna off. Aw, he's so confused! It's kinda funny. He scoffs and turns away before I can see any more. MK pulls the bandanna into his weird little spike hair thing. I've never understood why he does that; it just makes him look weird.

"Well! Guess who finally decided to show up?" Pigsy snipes at MK, who smiles slightly, embarrassed, and slides into a chair next to me. "Sorry Pigsy.. I slept in too late. Again. Please don't fire me!" Pigsy sighs, glares once more at MK, and then begins his stupid speech. "Alright everybody! I have gathered you all here because... blah blah blah boring ramen shop stuff." I sigh. This 'important meeting' is already going downhill. Tang's pretty much the only one listening. I turn to MK. "Two things. One; why did you sleep in so late? You never sleep in. Also, your shirt's on backwards." MK looks down in mild surprise. "Oh. It is." He shrugs, and taps his fingers on the table. "Well? Aren't you gonna fix it?" Red Son asks, irritated by MK's nonchalance. "Seeing you mad about it kinda makes me want to keep it like this." MK says with a slight smirk, and shrugs again. "Ugh! I cannot believe you, Noodle Boy!" From the corner of my eye, I can see Red Son's front hair thing flare up. What is with the weird hairstyles in this group? Well, I mean, me and Tang's hair are relatively normal. Um... Pigsy's a pig. I'll let you decipher the rest.

"Hey! No talking while I'm talking!" Pigsy butts into our conversation. "I swear, it's like you don't even want to be here." I raise my hand. "Yes, Mei?" Pigsy says, rubbing his temple with his hand. "Well... you did say that this meeting was mandatory and that we'd all get fired if we didn't come, so..." Tang raised his hand. "I'm listening, Pigsy!" ... "Y'know what? Everyone gets a day off." Me and MK slam our hands on the table simultaneously. "WHAT??" I say, incredulous. "You never give days off! Is everything okay?" MK says. "Works for me;" Red Son says, crossing his arms and disappearing in a burst of flames.

"Welp... that was weird." MK says as he stares at the spot where Red Son vanished. "Do you think he burnt the chair?" I shrug. "I don't know very much about demon fire magic, in case you forgot. You should ask him, if anything." MK's ears turned a bit red. "In case you forgot, I have no idea where he went." I shrug again. "Sucks to suck, I guess." I giggle as MK's face heats up. "What do you even mean by that?" He demands as I get off my chair and walk towards the exit of the shop. I turned away too early to see MK's face, staring at a spot somewhere above me, slacken and turn pale, as if he'd seen a ghost.

Red Son's POV:

Ugh. I hate that stupid Noodle Boy and his stupid shop meeting that they made me go to. I don't even know why I came. But still, I can't stop thinking about how Noodle Boy's hair looked when he came down the stairs. It looked so messy and disheveled, yet somehow it was- it was- Stop it, Red Son! I yell at myself. You sound like a fool, thinking about your enemy like that. But then again, were we still enemies? We haven't fought in- I don't even remember how long. But he tried to seal your father in a mountain! My other half argues. But to be fair, Father was being possessed by... something. What was that whispering blue energy, anyways? I wonder, trying to get the topic of MK- no, Noodle Boy- out of my head. It promised me power. Beyond  my wildest dreams.

"Red Son." Mother says coldly as I walk inside of our house. "Where were you this morning?" I rub the back of my neck self consciously. She would never approve of my going and meeting with Noodle Boy and his friends. "Um... I was taking a walk in the park. I needed some fresh air."  I lie, smiling. "Alright;" She says, waving a hand dismissively. "Your Father needs more of those bull drones- you should get started if you're going to make twelve at the least." Twelve bull drones? Does Mother even know what she's asking me to do? "Mother, I can't possibly make twelve today- it's late in the morning as it is." She turns her head sharply to glare at me. "Are you disobeying my orders, Red Son?" ... "No, Mother." She nods. "Hurry up, then."

What could they want 12 bull drones for? Are they planning something? No, stop. That's not even a question. Of course they're planning something. But... what?
