The gang regrouped near a river in the chapter they found Pigsy. Pigsy states, "Blue ain't really my color, but uh beats looking like that monster, Zhu Ganglie." Tang says, "Technically, you'd be Zhu Bajie, now that you're on the Journey to the West." Zhong sits on Tang's shoulder and let's out a mechanical purr. Tang hears the mechanical purr and headpats Zhong. Pigsy crossed his arms, "Oh hoho, no, no, no." Pigsy frowns, "Don't go comparing me to that Demon. My name's just plain old Pigsy." Mei grins while balancing the Dragon Blade above her head, "I can't wait to meet my ancestor, Ao Lie. I bet he was Mega cool!" She grabs her Dragon Blade and looked at Tang, "Right, Tangy?" Tang nervously laughs, "Well..."
Then MK suddenly says, "I wonder when we're gonna meet my ancestor." Mei turns confused, "I thought Monkey King was your dad." MK tilts his head as he drew on the paper, "He's not my dad." He points the crayon at Pigsy, "Pigsy's my dad." Pigsy turns surprised, "Uh, kid. I'm not exactly your uh..." However Tang hums, "Mei does have a point." Tang explains, "MK, the rest of us mysteriously inherited the powers of the ancient warriors. However, Monkey King is the only original companion we know for sure is still alive. And yet, you have inherited all of his powers, so it is possible that-"
"Yeah, right," deadpans MK. MK sighs and questioned, "If Monkey King really was my dad, don't you think he would have said something by now?" Mei crossed her arms, "Yeah, cause he's normally so forthcoming with information." MK shrugs and sighs, "Well, whatever. When we find Monkey King's stone, then we'll just ask him." Pigsy and Mei both turns confused, "What?" "Monkey King's huh?" MK sighs, "Monkey King's stone. The one he was born from." He explains, "Ever since I got into the scroll, I've been having visions of Monkey King standing next to his stone."
Pigsy questioned, "Wha... You didn't think to mention that sooner?!"
MK deadpans, "Im telling you now." He then continued, "If we find the stone, we'll find Monkey King and he can explain to all of you how he's definitely not my dad and everything fine. So, less yappy, more-" Then his vision appears.
"Kid!"
The vision disappears as everything around the group darkens. "Monkey King?" Mumbled MK. Then Ink Demons emerge around the group which made Zhong whimper in fear. Tang panics, "Ah! The scroll's curse. It found us!" Pigsy shouts, "Tang, get us outta here!" Tang nods, "Right." He pulls out Azure Lion's instructions, but it was blow away, "Oh, no! My cheat sheet!" Mei retorts, "Forget about the cheat sheet! It's exam time, baby!"
Tang sighs and went to use his khakkhara to prepare their teleportion. Behind MK, the Ink Demons take on the form of the Jade Princess who summons the ink katana. Ink Jade Princess went to strike MK but Mei quickly comes in to protect him with her Dragon Blade. However, the ink Jade Princess's blow shatters it which made a blast of wind causing MK and Mei to crash into Tang. They immediately disappear into separate chapters.
