Karishma held Ammi's hand and started giving her a tour of the academy, telling all her mischiefs she did, related to each and every place in the academy. Ammi was enjoying Karishma's company a lot. Karishma was making her feel at ease. The carefree and yet responsible nature of Karishma had warmed her heart. She realized that her own daughter had long forgotten how to laugh carefree, how to live life to the fullest, how to find happiness in tiny little things. Taken up huge responsibilities since quite a young age, Haseena never enjoyed life the way she should have and this pained Ammi. Her eyes teared up thinking all this.

Karishma noticed Ammi staring off into space with tears in her eyes. She understood that there might be something bothering her. She gently cupped Ammi's face between her palms and wiped her unshed tears.

"Kya hua Ammi, aap ro kyun rahi hain?", Karishma asked softly, concern clearly visible in her eyes.

"Kuch nhi bacche, bas tumhe yun khush aur befikr dekh hame apni Haseena ki yaad aa gayi. Pata nhi akhiri baar vo kab itna khush aur itni befikr thi. Zimmedariyon aur desh ke liye junoon mein usne khud ke liye jeena hi chor diya", Ammi said while patting Karishma's head and wishing the best for her from the almighty.

Karishma realized that the success and the respect Haseena has earned, was not only her hard work. It took years of toil, years of grooming, years of responsibilities, which made Haseena what she is today.

"Chinta mat kijiye Ammi, ek din unki zindagi mein bhi koi aaega jiske liye unhe thehar ke do pal jeene ka man karega. Aur us din aapko apki bachi ki khushiyan bhi wapas mil jaengi", Karishma said, her voice full of hope, which provided hope to Ammi too and she nodded her head with a smile, patting Karishma's cheeks.

On the other side, Haseena was in a meeting with the trainers of the academy, getting information about each cadet who was being trained in the academy.

"Ab ham is academy ke teen best cadets ke baare mein jan'na chahte hain. Ham bhi to dekhe, kaun hamari legacy ko aage badhata hai", Haseena said in an excited tone.

"Ji jaroor", the head trainer said and switched on a monitor, displaying the logo of the academy. He pressed a button and the slide changed, now displaying the picture of a young man. "Cadet Rishabh Vatsa, hamari academy ke third best cadet, logical and radical thinking kafi achi hai inki, physical strength ke sath negotiation skills bhi kafi umda hain inke", the Chief Trainer said, giving all the information to Haseena.

He then proceeded to change the slide, a picture of another young man showing up. "Cadet Ved Agnihotri, hamari academy ke second best cadet, physical strength, observation skills aur quick decision making, inke strong points hain, shooting bhi achi kar lete hain ye", the trainer explained.

He then moved on to change the slide to reveal the best cadet of the academy and, (as all of you might have already guessed), Karishma's picture showed up on the screen. "Cadet Karishma Singh, hamari academy ki best cadet, sharp shooting expert, disguise expert, logical and radical thinking ki master, observation skills aur quick decisions ke mamle mein inhe koi maat nhi de sakta, aapke baad agar kisi cadet mein ham deshbhakti ka wahi jazba dekhte hain, to vo sirf Karishma Singh hai", the trainer said and Haseena was listening all about Karishma very attentively, and she was thoroughly impressed.

But the head trainer was not done yet. "But jitni brilliant ye apni duty aur apne tasks mein hain, utna hi hamari naak mein dam ye training ke baad karti hain. Kabhi academy ki deewaron par ajeeb ajeeb chizen likhna, to kabhi academy ka fire alarm start kar dena. Kabhi apne sathi cadets to kabhi ham trainers pe prank karte rehna. Chalta firta Toofaan hain ye", the trainer finished while shaking his head.

Haseena was listening to all this with amusement, while trying to hold back a smile. She had known from the first time her eyes met Karishma's, that the latter was a walking storm that could ruin anything and anyone that comes her way if anyone messes up with her or her country. She was intrigued with the latter, she did not know or understand how, but she was drawn to Karishma, almost as if it was a magnetic force pulling her towards Karishma.

It was all new to her and just like always, she buried all those feelings deep down in her heart and got ready for the seminar.

All the cadets had already assembled at the auditorium and soon Haseena too arrived with the trainers behind her. She took her seat on the stage and looked at all the cadets sitting there, with excitement on their faces. She spotted her mother sitting with Karishma in the front row and they were busy chatting among themselves.

"These two have formed quite a bond, and Ammi is comfortable with Miss Singh. I don't know you Miss Singh, but everything about you tells me to know you more", Haseena thought gazing at Karishma. Just as she was about to look away, Karishma turned towards her and their eyes locked.
