"Happy Pride, Isagi!" Bachira called, throwing open the door a half second before launching himself onto the porch, wrapping his arms around Isagi's neck, and nearly taking them both tumbling down the stairs.
But Isagi had gotten both stronger, and better equipped at handling Bachira's surprise attacks, so he caught him and was happy to do so. "Hey, my little monster. Good to see you."
When Bachira was finished with the death grip of a hug, he pulled back a bit, beaming. "Are you excited?"
"So excited," Isagi answered.
And he was. Mostly. He'd never been to a pride celebration, nor would he ever have thought to go, even once he realized he very much liked boys, one in particuliar, but Bachira was very excited about this event, and so Isagi decided he too was excited. Bachira let go and waved him through the doorway.
"I'm almost ready," he said, stepping inside himself. "Come in."
This was when Isagi really caught sight of Bachira and it took him off guard like it did every time. The cropped shirt and what was coming out of it especially. Being away from Blue Lock had really done wonders for their relationship.
"What?" Bachira asked.
"Nothing," Isagi said, following him inside. "You just look so cute."
Bachira laughed. "You say that every time you see me."
"I always mean it," Isagi said. And he always did.
"I guess anything is an upgrade from those full body Blue Lock suits," Bachira joked.
"They weren't all bad." Isagi shrugged. "They were pretty form fitting."
Bachira's eyes went wide and his mouth fell open a little. Isagi meant the things that he said when he shamelessly hit on his boyfriend, but the reaction that never failed to come over Bachira's face when he did was most of the reason why he'd made such a habit of it.
He really, really liked him.
"Yoichi!" Yuu greeted him, though less forcefully, with her arms outstretched as well. "It's good to see you!"
"You too!" Isagi said, accepting the hug. "Wow, you look great."
This too, he meant wholeheartedly. And he was suddenly very aware of where all Bachira's excitement had come from. When Bachira had floated the idea of going to the pride parade to him, he had included in his endless stream of rambling I've been going since I was like, a baby! And it's so much fun, I promise. And then many other things had come after before Isagi was able to get a word in, so he hadn't asked after that particular fact. But he understood now.
She was decked out in this intentionally paint splattered dress, these massive earrings, and had rainbow temporary tattoos on each cheek complimenting what Isagi was sure was definitely more makeup that usual. It looked really over the top, but like most things that either of the Bachiras did, it completely worked.
"It makes more sense when I'm with everyone else, I swear. But thank you. You're so sweet," she said to him. "It's your first pride, isn't it?"
"Sure is," Isagi said, trying not to sound nervous about it.
"It's so much fun," she assured him. She turned to her son. "Are you sure you guys don't want to come out with us?"
Bachira shook his head readily. "I'm going to ease him into it."
Yuu laughed, not an ounce of offence in it. "Fair enough. Well, we'll be at the regular spot if you change your mind."
"You have a regular spot?" Isagi asked her.
