♡Into the Rift♡

After.. well being banned from Docs tunnel and fearing Docs.. merciless wrath, to say the least. Grian  finds himself going back to the cave where the first original rift to empires opened up.

He wonders what the people on the otherside are up to now? Are they still building up their empires?  Is Hermitopia still a thing over there? He could never know.

"I wonder.. how Grumbot managed to.. even do this." He mumbles before going back to touch the now, obsidian wall. 

He sits there and  sulks on the past memories of the last time he saw the emprerors, and wonders, 'what if another rift  were to open?'.

'Probably not.. I should probably go before  they find me here.' He thinks again before a familiar glitched out voice  replies. 'Find you? You should know we're always watching you, little bird.'

He jumps slightly at the voice and closes his eyes to find a purple eye, staring back at him. 'Watcher, sir.. Could you not stalk me?' He snarks, a little bold to defy a omniscient deity, no?

'Little bird, we  have eyes everywhere. We know what your up to all the time, all I have to say this is that, I can open this rift up.. but it is not guaranteed it will bring you back to Empires.'

'Are you just trying to please me.. so that I can join you back up there? No, I left the watchers awhile ago, I won't join again.' Grian replies before opening his eyes again.

The voices stop, and he  takes a deep breath. He looks back at the closed rift and  using what little power he had left from being an ex watcher, he presses his hand against it, a faint glow emerging from his hand. 

And he leaves, after nothing happened for a few moments. Unknown to him that the rift starts  to crack just a little..

And the watchers, if they could, they would laugh..

Because he  did exactly what they wanted him to do.

Kaeya is not  one to do overtime.. whatever that may be, he  knows when his shift ends and it strictly ends there. But curse his over worrying Grandmaster, for making him  investigate a odd cave near Stormterrors Lair.

He sighs making his way  throughput the long abandoned area. A few hillichurls  here  and there but nothing he can't handle.

Then he stumbles upon it, a faint purple glow emerging from the cave. 'Now.. that surely is something.' He steps closer  to the light, and finds himself  standing infront of a large.. almost pulsating purple rift.

His first thoughts are, the abyss might've done this..  But it  feels.. weird, the abyss have never done such things like this before.. But he knows from.. let's just say connections that   certain creatures from the abyss can open  some sort of portal.. somewhere.

Deciding to test if it's dangerous or not he throws   a loose stone in there, hoping whatever was on the other side would do something..

Nothing happened after a few moments and he gives up, if it wasn't hurting anyone then it wasn't his issue, now was it?

He walks away, not hearing a different rock being thrown out from the otherside.

Scott needed to mine. He was out of iron, to be able to tinker more with the new tools he figured out and  make new automated machines..

He sighs, he isn't very fond of mining, but there's always a subtle hope he finds  diamonds   at some point.So he grabs a torch, and a  pickaxe and heads  down into the mines.

After a little while, he finds a small purple glow emitting from a small crack in the wall. 'What is that..?'  And  he breaks through the wall.

Only to find a large rift opening up, he stared at it for a moment.. it felt remincesnt to something he's seen in the past but.. that wasn't really  important now, was it?.

He steps closer curious at whatever the heck this thing is..   He wonders if he should write a note, throw it into the otherside see if anything happens.

He folds up a small note with a few words in it but nothing much, and throws it into the rift. He watched it disappear,  waiting patiently for something to happen.

But nothing.. alas he just sighs and walks away to continue mining, he  covers back up the crack and leaves a sigh there.

'Weird ass rift..  beware.'

And on the  otherside, a small note comes  through the rift with the words.
