Andrew is a twelve-year-old boy who has just finished primary school and just started his summer holidays. Andrew is 4 '11, with brown hair and eyes, 40 kg, and slim from doing a lot of running around at recess and lunch with his friends at school. Andrew lives in a small house in the suburbs with his mum, dad, twin sister and his pet dog.
Andrew has always shared a bedroom with his twin sister Jessica ever since they were born but since six months ago Andrew has been asking his parents for his very own bedroom. Ever since that night six months ago Andrew has felt a strange painful feeling inside him and feels he needs to put some space towards himself and his twin sister Jessica.
As Andrew lays on the top bunk in his and his sister's bedroom with his Nintendo Switch console in his hands that he was playing, he looks down and around the bedroom seeing the two wardrobes with the wardrobe on the left being his sister's and the wardrobe on the right being his, a large brown chest of drawers that they share against the back wall underneath the window sill, a desk and a chair with both their laptops on it, a full-length mirror, lited you can see some toys on the floor and the chest of drawers there are five bottles of different colours of nail polish, some makeup and a couple of different types of makeup brushes, to most people who see their bedroom for the first time and didn't know Andrew and Jessica shared it, people will have a hard time trying to work out if it's a boys room or a girls room.
While Jessica is out at a friend's house with their mum, his dad is in the backyard gardening, Andrew starts to feel nervous and scared as he notices one of Jessica's dresses hanging over her desk chair, knowing that he is alone he thinks to himself that it couldn't hurt to try on another one of Jessica dresses maybe it will get rid of this feeling he has been feeling since the first time he tried.
Andrew climbs down from his top bunk bed walks over to his twin sister's desk seat and picks up the dress, Andrew feels how the fabric of the dress feels different compared to how his boy clothes feel, the dress feels lighter, thinner and feels like it could be easily damaged if he wasn't careful with it, unlike with his boy's clothes which feel rougher, thicker fabric used, heavier and feels like won't rip or tear that easy.
Andrew goes over to the full-length mirror and holds the black dress up close to his body to get a better look at how the dress looks, the dress is black with different coloured fish all over it with short sleeves and it stops just above Andrew's knees. Andrew looks into the mirror and smiles as he sees his reflection but it's his with long brown hair, his fingernails painted red and light pink lipstick wearing the dress feeling fantastic about himself.
Andrew snaps out of his fantasy and sees his regular self looking back in the mirror still holding up his sister's dress against himself, Andrew thinks to himself as he looks at himself in the mirror he could never look like that and if his sister or parents find out he has been trying on his sister's Jessica dresses Andrew doesn't know what they would say or do to him.
Andrew, now feeling sad and depressed walks back over to his sister's side of the desk and places her dress back down folded over the back of her desk chair the same way he found it so she doesn't find out he's been touching her clothes.
Not knowing what to do about how he feeling or why he is feeling this way and not knowing who he could even talk to about this, he decides instead of constantly thinking about this and going around in circles with his thoughts and making himself even more depressed and angry at himself, Andrew decides to instead distract himself and to focus on something else so he walks back over to his bunk bed and climbs back up to grab his Nintendo Switch to continue playing his game.
As Andrew sits in his bed with his back against the wall as he plays his game he hears his mum calling out saying that they are home and his sister's footsteps against the house's wooden floor as she walks towards their bedroom. Andrew keeps playing his game as his twin sister Jessica opens the bedroom door and walks inside their bedroom and over to the bottom bunk bed to place her bag down. Andrew sits there trying to focus on his game but starts to feel nervous about what if she noticed her dress has been moved.
