Mikasa was cooking as Annie took her turn in the shower. Both girls had just had the longest day of their lives, however it had started something Mikasa could never have dreamed of. A soft purring came from around her bare feet as both Titan and Levi rubbed against her legs. Giggling, she picked up her small black and white baby and Annie's much larger tabby. Levi took his place on her shoulder, a place he usually sat when she cooked. Titan walked across her arm and seated himself on the counter as she finished making the egg rolls.
The sound of soft footsteps met her ears as annie came up behind her. She laid down the last of the silverwear and rned to face the shorter girl. She was greeted by the sight of Annie in a kitten kigurumi. Her blonde hair was down but instead of framing icy blue eye filled with anger ass it had that morning instead showed of deep blue pools. She looked so inoccent despite the bandages graceing her hands and face. The hoodie on the pjs was pulled up making the ears droop in her face a little. Annie blushed, muttering something about pjs. "Sweetie you look great." She kissed her forehead pulling back the hood. Fingers tangled into the fabric of her shirt and pulled her into a tight hug.
Annie swallowed hard feeling herselfbecome grounded the instant she was near Mikasa agin. Something about her, no EVERYTHING about her made Annie feel at home. She felt fingers running through her hair and purred softly, lettting herself lean on the taller girl. Mikasa pushed her away and for a breif moment she protested but the gentle touch was hard to refuse. Choclate orbs stared at her lovingly and kissed her hand. "How about we eat dinner. Then we can curl up on the couch and watch Star Wars or something." Annie's stomach growled and she sat down at the bar quickly taking two of the homemade eggrolls from the pile. The dinner conversation quickly turned into talk off past friendships and funny experinces on both sides. The atmosphere of the once dead house warmed with each passing minute, Annie showing a side of herself that not many had every gotten to see. It only got better as they lay on the couch watch Raider of the Lost Ark Mikasa playing with Annie'ls hair as she dozed her her lap. Mikasa sighed with content letting that morning slip from her memory, the bond between this girl and her blonde knight becoming unbreakable as the night drew to a close.
