Third Person Point of View

It had been a whole year since both James and Aiden engaged to each other. They spent the whole time planning out the wedding. They had the help from their friends from Disventure Camp. Specifically; Lake and Rosa Maria. They could remember the day that they told them about the engagement as if it was yesterday.

Let's roll back to the time they did announce it to them.

(Aiden's POV)

I was shaking with excitement. Today I was going to tell Lake, who was almost like a sister to me, that James and I were getting married. It felt so surreal to even be able to tell someone that. I took in a deep breathe before walking into her house. We were so close that we honestly gave each other house keys. But I knew as soon as I marry James, I wouldn't be able to do so. But it was good while it lasted.

"Lake, I'm here!" She immediately popped her head from the kitchen and walked over to me. "Oh hello, Aiden! Come give me a hug!" I nodded before running up to her and hugging her tightly.

"So, what did you want to tell me?" She looked down at me(curse our height difference), with such caring eyes. I smiled before sighing out. "Well, I want you to sit down for this before I tell you. It isn't anything bad, I promise." I reassured her. She rose an eyebrow before nodding. "Wait, let me go get the cookies and I will meet you in the living room."

I agreed and walked into her little but comforting living room. I waited for her as I tried to keep my composure as I waited. Eventually she returned with a plate piled with cookies. She placed them down. "Okay, Aiden. Tell me what you wish to say." I nodded. "James and I... have decided that enough is enough. And..." I began to draw out the sentences to keep her on suspense.

"We are getting married!" I watched as her eyes widened before she jumped up and ran over to me. "Oh, I am so happy for you! When did this happen?" I let out a laugh at her excitement. "It happened about a month ago. You're the first person I told. James is currently working at the moment so he couldn't join me today, sadly. But I really wanted to do it now and he was okay with me doing so alone."

Her eyes lit up when she was told that she was the first person that I told about the engagement. "I am very honored. Thank you!" I nodded as I let out a laugh, "of course! Now, let's go ahead and do what we actually planned to do before I have to go." We then went to play some Nintendo.

James's POV

James just arrived to Rosa Maria's home the week after. Ever since he had given her some of his money for Sofia's future, she was able to use some of her own to buy a better house for the two of them as well as add the remaining to her college fund. I am very proud of them both, they're like the family I never had.

I knocked upon the door, shoving my hands in my pockets as I awaited for her to answer. Suddenly, the door opened and I looked down to see Sofia. She had her mother's complexion and eyes but auburn color hair. Her eyes lit up, a smile spread upon her face. "Uncle James!! You're here!" She exclaimed as she rushed to hug me. I let out a laugh and lifted her up into my arms, squeezing her tightly.

"Hello, Sofia. Where is your mom?" I asked. "She's in the kitchen making snacks! She is making something that tastes like her childhood favorite Duvalín!" She exclaimed.
