The group stood stiff, stuck in place. Vines curled around their body, and the vines pulsed like they had a heart. The vines were so delicate that they'd snap if you breathed too hard. A snapping was heard toward the back of the group and a small gasp of air after.
"A–ah! No, I didn't mean to...It was itchy and…pl–please!!" The voice was a young girl, she turned and ran as far as she could.
A flash of green passed the groups' eyes; a crunching sound echoed around the room. They could hear the girls' screams, desperately asking for help, but no one moved. The people that were behind her could see the creature that was tearing her body apart.
It looked like a monster made of vines and flowers. Its head looked like a giant, stargazer lily without the white outlines of the flower. Looking closer, you could see teeth coming out of the petals. The petals were opening and closing as they munched on the female's body, cleaning the meat off her bones. A young man looked down at the scene with indifferent black eyes.
This place…is disgusting.
「 The god, "Jester," laughs at the girl. 」
「 The god "Peace and love" sighs in disappointment and covers her face. 」
「 The god "Jester," asks "Peace and love" for her money. 」
「 The god "full moon" worries for your sanity and tells you to look away from the scene. 」
"14 participants remain." The vines around their feet wriggled away. The monster seemed to be done eating and returned to its master's side, pretending to be an ordinary flower yet again. Its master was a female. She'd be pretty if not for the vines covering her body and slightly greenish skin. Her arms looked like long, splintered wood. The woman then began to speak with a slightly robotic tone. "2 participants will be taken away randomly, and the remaining participants have 5 minutes to debate who to save."
A man and a girl. They looked down; the girl couldn't help it and screamed. The man's face contorted a bit as he looked up and away from where the corpse should have been. All that was left was the girl's torn-up clothes and a pool of blood. There were even pieces of flesh left around on the floor.
The vines grew bigger as they wrapped around the two chosen people's feet tighter before pulling them away to different rooms. The vines weren't fast, instead, they dragged the victims. The girl thrashed around and cried, trying to get out of the vines' hold. Her legs were flailing around harshly, but the only outcome she got were red rashes and blood dripping down her legs.
The man tried to push the vines and quickly got the memo that they wouldn't budge. So he pulled out a knife from his sleeve and stabbed the vine; only for it to pause before tightening its grip and dragging him quicker. The knife was stuck and the young man's face scrunched up in slight anger.
「 The god "full moon" is shocked. 」
「 The god "jester" laughs at "full moon" 」
✰ "Jester": is your disciple finally going to die?! Hahaha!! ✰
「 The god "full moon" yells at "jester" to stop getting excited. 」
"Akatsuki!!" The young man being dragged away looked at the person who called out to him and smiled softly before the door slammed shut with a…
