The boy struggled to speak. Tears streamed down his face. I clutched his hand tightly.
We've never known each other, but we didn't need to. We were facing the same fate.
I stared at the white metallic hood above me. I thought I was brave, but this moment had proved me wrong. I could feel my feet shaking violently, my heart beating faster than the plane was falling.
I closed my eyes and pictured everyone who would miss me- my sister, my best friend, probably my dog too.
I don't remember opening my eyes after that.
