3rd person pov
xenia sat in the kitchen as miguels families apartment. she didn't know if their mom knew she was there but she didn't want to test it. however she needed to.
"okay what if she doesn't want me miguel? what if she hates me?" xenia ranted and he grabbed his sisters arms as he turned her to him and shook his head
"shes going to love you nia, i can promise you" he told her and then they heard footsteps walking down the hallway to them. she turned and saw carmen and rosa.
"miguel who is this?" rosa asked
"i know who this is" carmen said and xenia smiled at her
"hi mom" she exclaimed and carmen walked over as she grabbed her and pulled her into a hug; xenia let a deep sigh of happiness out and felt the tears well up in her eyes.
"oh beautiful girl, i am so sorry i didn't take you when i could. you are so beautiful" carmen said with tears in her eyes
"its okay, im here now" xenia told her and they all nodded. they let go and sat down as miguel brought breakfast over for them
"breakfast is served" he stated
"this is so sweet" carmen exclaimed and rosa praised him but carmen stopped her
"he'll think he can just run away and come back and get all the love he wants" carmen told her
"don't worry. im never doing something like that again, im sorry" he told her
"i should've told you the truth about how i left your father and xenia " carmen stated
"you did it for me , i understand that now. i just wish you wouldn't have left her in that space mom" he told her and they all sat down again
"sorry im late. graffitis a bitch to clean off, you should see my van. it should be illegal to deface someone elses property like that" johnny said
"it is" carmen and xenia told him at the same time
"well this looks different" johnny said
"yeah , i made it, oh i forgot the orange juice" he said and he grabbed it as xenia ate; but then carmen got up and threw up. xenia laughed softly and sighed but then she heard her phone vibrate and she saw sams contact
"oh whos that?" miguel asked
"its this girl sam" xenia stated
"i have a girlfriend named sam" he said and she nodded.
"yeah i know, shes the girl im texting. we became pen pals in something for my school" she told him and he nodded in understanding as they cleaned up their plates and then he brought her to a room for her and she looked around.
"this is my room?" she asked him and he nodded.
"yeah, do you want to meet some of my friends?" he asked her and she nodded as she left the house with him and they went to the tattoo shop as they walked in and xenia was met with two teenage boys.
"whos this?" demetri asked miguel after hawk finished his new tattoo.
"im xenia" she stated
"meaning?" he asked
"Im miguels sister" she stated and their jaws dropped in shock. they didn't know he had a sister but they saw the resemblance
"how did you two meet?" demetri asked her and she made eye contact with her brother.
"he found me in mexico when he was looking for our dad, turns out that i couldn't stay with him and so i came back home with miguel" she explained and they nodded before they turned to miguel and saw the sad look on his face
"you okay?" xenia asked her brother
"you dont know?" hawk asked
"know what?"
"about the whole cobra kai, miyagi do, eagle fang thing" demetri said and she shrugged
"i met miguel like two days ago, i have not had the time to sit down and hear about your telenovela drama" she stated and they both laughed.
"we'll have to explain it to you another time" hawk said and then they heard miguels phone
"is that sam? did she finally text back?" he asked miguel who nodded but didn't look at xenia. she didn't know that they were having troubles but she should've known. she wouldn't say anything though.
"she said she wants to talk tonight" miguel told them and both the boys seethed but nia didn't make a sound
"what did she say exactly?" hawk said and xenia groaned , she didn't want to be involved in stupid boy drama that wouldn't matter to her.
"im gonna go look around, call me if you need me" xenia told her brother who nodded and watched her walk away. she began to walk around town before she bumped into someone and sighed.
"shit im sorry" she said
"watch where you're going" they stated and xenia scoffed as she looked up at the girl and the girl looked at her.
"is everyone is this city an asshole?" she said to herself and she walked off and away from them and then she got a call from someone.
"hey sam" she exclaimed
"hey nia, you and miguel okay?" she asked and xenia smiled
"yeah we're okay, we're home" she exclaimed
"home as in reseda or as in hes home and you're in mexico?" sam asked and xenia laughed
"in reseda" she told the girl and she heard sam smile
"oh my god, xenia we have to see each other" she exclaimed and xenia nodded into her phone even though sam couldn't see her.
"yeah of course we do, maybe after you and miguel talk to each other" xenia stated and then she heard two other voices.
"i have to go but ill call you later nia" she said and the call ended. maybe time was finally catching up to them and maybe they were finally catching up to each other
