"It's f-finalized? Already?" I looked at my parents in shock. I thought I had a year still. My father nodded, frowning, while my mother smiled at me hopefully. None of this has seemed to phase her. I can see it's tearing dad apart. It's tearing me apart too. The suddenly empty look in mom's eyes makes my stomach twist. "I should be going." she says, with out looking at either of us. Dad grabs her wrist as she stands up, "Wait! I mean... Elise wants you to stay for dinner." mother glances at me, and I nod quickly. She lets out a sigh, "Fine." but then slaps Dad's hand away.

Everytime I saw my mother after that she got darker and darker all the time. She told me I wasn't important to her anymore. Then she stopped coming. Dad was torn, but had to take care of the company. He didn't get time to heal. One day after school, I came home and found him completely wasted, laying on his office floor. He begged me to call her for him. I thought it would help. But that phone call destroyed both of us. "You're not my daughter anymore, and your father was useless the moment he went bankrupt.

I don't know how long it's been.. Time stopped mattering. My dad was trying so hard to control the company and to keep me from becoming oblivion. Time was nothing to me any more. I just stayed in my room, and did nothing. Wouldn't go to school, or leave the house. Couldn't eat. Hell, I could barely breath on my own. Everything just became blurry to me. The only time things made sense, was when Kyoya would video chat me. But I guess that wasn't enough. Even though I was the one waking up in the hospital, my father was the one being saved. Hadn't I caused enough trouble? apperantly it's been six months since the divorce happened. Mom remarrried. On the same day I nearly died.

The last thing I remember about that day was the beginning of the panic attack. Screaming, clawing at my own skin, feeling caged, and then abandoned. I tore off a chunk of my cheek. Then I woke up in a white room, and my father tells me I cut my head open. Then I spent another month in the white room. Father came to see me everyday. "Elise.. Dear..." my father croaked, taking my hand in his. "If.. If you could go back to Japan, and live with the Ootori's... Would it help? Would that Kyoya boy help?"
