Chapter I

We were standing there many with scratches, others had deep wounds and then there were us leaders of the pack.... who had almost died in that battle. Not many understand what led to this but, it's good that I never forgot about any of it.

*SIX YEARS BEFORE*

It was at the beginning of my senior year of high school, we were a class of 35+ students, and for some strange reson 6 of us had basicly the same classes at the same time. The first two weeks of school went by like normal and I noticed that one girl kept staring at me from across the room. I didn't really have anything against her so I just ignored her, no point in getting all worked up over nothing. But then strange things started to happen, not only would she stare at me from afar but when she walked past me on the other side of the hall she would be right up close to me before walking off again.
I also started noticing strange things happening around me. I was talking with a friend after school one day and he suddenly turned into some sort of vampireish human, his skin changing to pale white. He looked just like Dracula! His eyes changed too, they became black orbs; when he opened them he did look somewhat human, but something seemed wrong. It took a couple of minutes for him to turn back to himself as if it was an automatic process.

"What the hell just happened?" I asked him.
"What do you mean? I was just talking nothing else happened, I think you're overwhelmed by the exams in history class" he said.

Yeah maybe that was true but something was totally off and more cause of that girl who just kept staring even more. Before I knew it I was having dreams that I couldn't control or wake up from. The next morning she just stood there looking at me, when I finally realized what was going on I ran out of the classroom terrified. From then on we had classes together and I can honestly say that all three of us (me, her, and my friend) were scared shitless. The reason for this is because every now and then some weird thing would happen during those moments. This continued for several months until I got the shock of my life when I saw her walking down the hallway on campus one day... She looked exactly like a wolf, she was wearing black clothes and a white fur coat, her eyes were like a wolf's and her hair was long and flowing in the wind. Her face was beautiful and she had a small smile on her lips as she walked towards me.
I tried to run away but she stopped me with a wave of her hand, she spoke to me telepathically: "Please don't leave, I've been waiting a very long time."
"Who are you?" I asked her, "and what do you want from me?"
She answered telepathically saying: "My name is Lilith, and I've come to take you to our home"
Lilith looked at me and smiled, her face became beautiful once more and her long dark hair fell behind her shoulders. It was clear to see why people thought vampires were hot!
"But how..." I said.
"Just follow me" she said as she turned her head back towards the main building.
I followed her as best I could, but it wasn't easy. When we reached the front doors of the school the alarm went off, there was a huge crowd of other students around us as they stared at this strange creature. Two of my old friends from middle school showed up pulling me away from her and towards the side door.
"What are you doing with this person Britt?!" Chris said in a kinda mad voice. Chris is like an older brother so he tends to be very protective.
"That person is not here to be your friend, stop being so nice with everyone who passes by" Said Inca. She's Chris girlfriend and like a sister to me.
"Wait, how do you guys know this?" I asked confused.
"We've seen her around, she hangs around with that tall guy who's always hanging around with her" Chris said.
"Yeah, the tall guy who looks like he's ten feet tall and wears black all the time" Inca added.
"So you guys have already met her? And you're telling me to stay away from her?" I asked, "what if she wants to suck my blood?!" I said sarcastically.
"You're kidding me right!?" They both asked.
"No, I'm not! Why would I be worried about that? I'm not afraid of supernatural things hello you guys are like siblings to me and your Vampires. I don't get why this is such a big deal!" I said to them.
They looked at each other and then back at me.
"Look sis, we'll talk to you later OK?" Chris said. "Just go home and don't talk to that person, we will go see you tonight" Inca added.
I nodded and left the school. As soon as I was outside the gates I felt like someone was following me closely and I started to panic. The school was close to home so I actually ran home cause I started to get scared. When I got home my mom and dad were sitting on the couch watching TV, I walked inside and sat down next to them. After a few minutes, my mom turned to me and said:
"How was your day sweetie?"
I told her everything that had happened to me since morning and then ended up mentioning seeing that girl. My mom and dad stared at me for a minute and then my mother said:
"I think you need to go see a doctor. There's something wrong with you, and you should probably get checked out"
"Mom, I'm fine!" I said defending myself.
"Well, I agree with her honey. You seem different lately, but it's ok we'll go tomorrow. Now let's watch some TV" My father said.
To be honest it felt really awkward that my parents said that, they usually believe me and wouldn't have said those things, much less about taking me to the doctors when they know I hate going there. After watching the TV for a little bit I excused myself and said I was going to the bathroom but I actually went up to my room scared. When I opened the door I found my whole room destroyed, the bed was torn to pieces, my nightstand was broken, everything was a mess. I wanted to scream but suddenly I had someone covering my mouth, It was Chris.
"What are you doing? Did you do this?" I asked scared.
"I didn't do this Britt but those people downstairs are not your parents, your parents are dead," He said.
"No... Stop it, they can't..." I replied.
He quickly grabbed my hands and said:
"Listen, you have to go outside NOW, Lilith is coming for you and we have to stop her. She can't have you"
"What?!"
"No time to explain here, you need to be in a safe place for me to explain"
Suddenly Inca showed up in the window and said " Let's go follow me, I'll take you somewhere safe sis".
I was still shocked and confused but I followed them outside. My mom and dad were gone and there were some people standing on the street staring at me. One of them shouted:
"Hey, we know you, we know what you are!" I didn't even know these people, They weren't my neighbors or anyone  from town that I knew, and trust me I knew everyone, my parents where the local popular family.
"Come on, let's get out of here" Inca said pulling me along.
As we got farther away from the house I kept asking them what was going on. They refused to tell me anything and I didn't understand why, I couldn't comprehend what was happening. So I pulled away.
"I am not moving anymore until I get answers" I Shouted. I had enough of not knowing anything of what was going on.
"Britt, please calm down. We can't do anything until we find somewhere safe" Chris said.
I looked back at them and said:
"Fine, I'll just wait here"
I turned to find Lilith standing right in front of me.
"Why do you resist?" She asked.
I tried to pull away but she grabbed me back.
"Let go of me! I know what you are! I saw you in the school earlier today!" I shouted trying to get free.
"What you think I am a vampire like your friends? There's more than one or two species on this planet cutie" She said as she came closer to me.
"Get away from her!" Chris yelled as I was pulled from behind and placed behind Chris and Inca.
"I'll have you know that I am a Wolf Princess and I am going to keep you as my pet forever!" She said with a smirk.
"You know what? I think I will keep you as my slave too!"
"All this for something that happened years ago?! You will never be together again!" Chris shouted.
Confused I kept watching and hearing what was said. Suddenly I saw Chris move forward and punch Lilith in the face. Immediately she recoiled backward and I was pulled by Inca and we started running.
Chris picked up and looked at me. He said:
"You can trust me, just relax. Everything will be alright"
After he said that, I turned to look at Lilith who was on the ground and now bleeding. Chris grabbed me and began running through the woods, there was a car parked under a tree and we jumped in it.
Once we were inside the car I looked at Chris and Inca.
"What happened? Where's Lilith?" I asked.
"She tried to kill you!" Chris exclaimed.
I shook my head and said:
"But why! What is going on? and what were you talking about something from years ago? How does that involve me? And why would she try to kill me?"
"She's a Wolf and she was trying to feed on you" Inca explained.
I took a deep breath, thinking to myself: "A Wolf? That's why she has that scent" I said.
"Hold on, what do you mean you have a smell?" Chris asked confused.
"No well she just smelled like a wet dog," I said a little shaky.
"What the hell did you do to her!? You attacked her!?" Inca yelled at Chris.
He looked at her and said "It was self-defense. She was going to eat her!" Chris exclaimed.
"What are you talking about? I can't even understand half of that" I said shaking his head.
"Look, I'll explain later. Right now we have to get out of here before any cops show up. Don't worry though, we won't tell anyone what happened" Inca said.
"Ok, but first I want to know what's going on here and who's that girl," I said to them.
"She's a wolf," Chris said.
"And?"
"And I am a Vampire," Chris said.
"What the hell does it have to do with me!" I yelled.
"Your a Vampire too! One who lost her memories and was reborn" Inca yelled at me.
I looked at her in shock and couldn't reply to what she had said. Chris looked at me threw the review mirror and Inca stayed quiet, soon we arrived at some sort of security home but I really didn't want to get out of the car.
"We're not going through this again Britt, get yo ass out of the fucking car" Chris said. He was upset, very upset. I looked at him and sighed: "OK, fine, but you need to explain all this shit to me right with no hidden things"
The three of us got out and walked towards the house, for my surprise all those who I knew or had ever interacted with where there too.

When I saw everyone in that moment I realized everything I thought I knew was all lies.
