Chapter 5: Surprise, Surprise

I was lounging on the couch in my cozy living room wearing my long black hair in a lose bun, sweat pants and a t-shirt while watching the teli. After the night before and the incident with him throwing up I had insisted on Niall going to the doctor to get a check-up, I didn’t want him to be sick when I knew it was probably just a virus that could be cured. At first Niall didn’t want to but I had begged him and eventually he caved in. Well now I was just waiting for him to call telling me to pick up a prescription so I patiently waited with my phone in hand. 15 minutes later my phone rang and I quickly picked up. “Hey! So what happened?” I asked Niall. “The doctor said it was just a virus, although he didn’t really check. What is it with those doctors? It’s always ‘just a virus’.” Niall complained. “I dunno… well should I go pick up your prescription? Maybe, we could go out to eat, I’m starving and I’m almost positive you are.” I said putting the t.v on mute. “Actually I have other plans.” Niall said mysteriously through the phone. “Nialler what are you planning?” I knew the tone in his voice all too well.

  “Alright… so my mate that lives in Florida is leaving for Australia for the rest of the summer to visit is sister and he needs somebody to look over after his huge mansion of his and he offered me to come to Florida and take care of it for him, all for free no cost at all.” Niall said happily over the phone. My mouth dropped and I squealed. Missy, the golden puppy, trotted over to me and I swooped her up in my arms. “Get out!!! Oh my God!! Nialler you’re serious?” I said excited to him over the phone. “Cross my heart.” Niall chuckled. “Oh my God! Niall I love you! Thanks oh gosh I need to start packing! Sunscreen, our pale skin will get burned so quickly if I don’t bring skin protection, Swimsuits, Oh my Gosh we can swim! Lots and lots of snacks for the plane, lord knows that you won’t be able to limit yourself to only the plane food, Oh and-“ I blabbed on and on but then Niall broke down laughing. “Calm down! Hahaha… okay so pack your stuff I’ll be there in maybe 30 minutes” Niall informed me then added “I have to pick up that damn prescription…” he muttered.

 I giggled then we said a quick ‘see you soon’ and I hung up. I put Missy down on the floor and walked over to my room finding my big bright zebra print luggage case. I know, I know.. Zebra print. I bit odd, but when the case is on that little revolving belt ,after we arrive at the destination airport, I can easily spot it. I picked out 3 of my favorite swimsuits, a bunch of my favorite top and bottoms then I grabbed some flip flops, a few pair of heels and some sneakers.

 I grabbed so many other things shampoo, underwear and all the other necessary things.  After, I found my big fat makeup bag from my closet and placed it on my bed. Niall didn’t like me wearing makeup he says that I’m already beautiful and I don’t need to add a bunch of trash on my face to make me look better but I like to look nice for myself and well I want to impress Niall. Before Niall got home I changed into a pair of jean-shorts and a pink tank-top and grabbed a silver locket from my jewelry bag (Did I mention I had a jewelry bag too?) inside the locket was a picture of Niall and I when we were 11 and a picture to the right of it was a more recent picture we had taken together at my cousins  graduation party a few months ago. I wasn’t really big with fashion but I liked to think I was.

I heard the doorknob open from the turn and then the four dogs bark in response, well it wasn’t really much of a bark it more like a chirp they weren’t big yet they were still puppy’s. I heard my Niall’s smooth Irish voice say. “Hey Missy, Spot, Rarity, Claus! Were’s mama?” I loved how the treated the puppy’s as if they were is children. I joined him in the mudroom and wrapped my arms around him. “Hi, hun.” I greeted him. “Hello my Diamond. Have you packed?” Niall said holding me by my shoulders in front of him. “Yes I have.” I smiled. “Oh Nialler! This is so exciting!” I bounced on my feet. “I know. It’s even better that I have the best traveling partner.” Niall blew a kiss at me making me blush and play with my friendship bracelet subconsciously. He kissed me lightly on the forehead and motioned toward his prescription in his hands.“Well, I’m going to take these Da-“ I frowned at him and held my fingers up to his mouth. I didn’t really like it when he swore, it was a bad habit that I was working with Nialler to get rid of. Niall grinned then continued his sentence grabbing my hand gently from his mouth and into his hand. “-dandy pills, there you happy?” Niall said walking to the kitchen keeping my hand in his. I laughed. “As a matter of fact, I am.” I smirked at him.

I had helped Niall get packed and take his medication then by the end of the night we were on a plane heading to Florida. This was going to be the best summer ever.
