Karma was a vile woman.
Karma has no regard for anyone, and she will do anything in her power to snuff out those who have done wrong and deliver judgement onto those who least except it. Nothing that wandered the rotten earth could escape her, and any thoughts or actions to do so only made the unforeseeable nature lust after their appending doom. Karma has favorites in this world, and karma just so happens to be obsessed with Kutsuki Chaike.
Chaike is cursed by karma, and she will never be able to escape her torment.
The only descendent of the Kutsuki line likes to think in her previous life she fell amongst the few who outran the ghostly figure, or that she was just utterly perfect, but even that is a stretch in her mind. There was just no humanly explanation for all the bad luck that befell the small girl, and the only reasonable explanation for all of it was that she must have been a horrible monster in her past life, and all those disgusting deeds added up into her current life. Karma was out to get Chaike.
