The way the wind blows,
Shall pave your way through open windows,
The river where pure water flows,
Shall lead you where your destiny goes.Come my dear,
Let your mind come clear,
Make all your fears disappear,
The wind shall be the only voice you hear.•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
"Mother! Mother! Look! I got so many flowers! Including daisies! Your favorite!" I cheerfully shook my mother's arm while she stood there staring at the endless field. "Mother?" I called again and again until she turned around. Sadly smiling, "Find Z... Chaser" she whispered.
-
*Ring Ring* My eyes opened, oblivious about the stray tears escaping my eyes. Right, I need to get ready for school and I'm still laying lazily in my bedroom.
I had already gone used to dreaming about fragments of memories of my blurry childhood and the confusing words my mother has told me to do so. She constantly tells me to go find something or someone, but I never truly take the time to understand what she means.
I spread my velvet curtains open to let the sun's light illuminate the dark spaces of my room. I live in an apartment in the city and right outside of it is a road with fast-paced cars which are dangerous to cross. I paid my rent with my salary that I got in my part time job.
Doing my usual routine, I took a bath and changed into some beige cargo pants, and black tank top with a plain blazer to top it all off. I quickly tied my hair.
I grabbed my mini knife just in case something happens and put it in my right pocket. Before I could get my bag, a loud flapping sound rang through my apartment as a large amount of wind blew through my room from my balcony.
And then I saw it.. The one making the sound was a white phoenix. I observed its foreign features, the phoenix has white feathers, fading into blue on the tip of its magnificent wings, eyes that looked like the sunset, and lastly, a silver wing tattoo on its left hip.
I slowly entered my balcony not taking my eyes off the phoenix flapping its wings right outside my balcony. It was mesmerizing, and hypnotic... Somehow I wanted to touch it... And so I climbed over the metal rails and reached in to touch it's unrealistic beauty.
Oh... I slipped... It's like the world is in slow motion as my life flashed before me. Growing up, I never really obtained happiness, memories of my mother is all blurred, and so is my childhood.
Oh well, bye world.
"Unlock the truth.."
That's when I sat up panting and beads of sweat forming in my temple. I'm sure that that whispering voice was Mom's. But I wonder why.
I looked around and saw that I was leaning my back against a tree and sitting on the grass. I stood up and scan my surroundings; this isn't the city. It's a forest here! Why am I even in this place? Moreover, how did I ended up here?
An odd howl interrupted my thoughts. The sound of bushes being harshly cast aside revealed the appearance of a black-furred, leopard-like beast. The leopard growled and looked at me as if it hadn't been fed in weeks. The beast suddenly charged at me with great speed. I let out a loud yelp as I hurried as fast as I could after avoiding its strike, thanks to my quick reactions.
I chased through the forest, hoping to lose the beast, but it seemed too preoccupied with me to lose track of my figure. After trying to come up with something to get me out of my situation, I was only left with the thought of opposing it. I attempted to feel my knife out of my pocket as I ran till I was able to take it out. I hurriedly leaped to a sturdy, thick branch, and quickly scrambled above it. I jumped from branch to branch until I found a large enough area to confront the beast chasing after me and hopefully survive by the end of it.
I bided my time as the beast quickly caught up. I threw a kick in the beast's face with force as I leaped from the branch I was standing on earlier. Beads of sweat slid down my temple as I tried to create as much damage as possible to my current opponent. Pulling my knife, I attacked by smoothly grazing the knife on its right leg, leaving a deep and bleeding slice on the beast's skin.
Whimpering loudly, the beast retreated deeper in the forest without using its slightly injured left leg. I inhaled a large amount of air and exhaled. I noticed my shaking and hurting legs from all the jumping I just did that eventually landed on the grass due to how sore it is.
However, before I had the chance to rest any longer, a loud, angered roar shook the entire forest, sending unique and colorful birds flying from the trees and extraordinarily pattered herd of deer running past me in search of a far-off place to hide.
Its massive footsteps and loud bellow echoed through the forest. I quickly got on my feet, still tired but forced to get ready for what was about to come.
The beast larger than the previous one, stood as tall as the trees, its canines curving and pushing past its lips while its eyes glow intensely with rage before me. I have a strong feeling that it can sense my fear and the fact that I'm on the verge of passing out.
Well... Maybe this will be the real end of me.
The gigantic beast advanced while I took a step back until my back harshly collided with the tree behind me. My hands are shaking, my forehead is sweating excessively, my eyes are getting blurry by the second, my legs are trembling, and lastly, my body's about to give out.
Before everything went dark, a figure protectively leaped in front of me. The beast became disoriented as more people surrounded it and tranquilized it, causing its heavy body to collapse in front of me.
The person in front of me previously stared at me, but even with my eyes squinted, I couldn't see their faces clearly. My vision is becoming more and more fuzzy by the second, and my ears are ringing since I can't hear anything. Another person rushed beside me while shouting something into.
I now totally passed out as my body tried to get some rest.
