Dream is leaning against the hood of his car wrapped up in a hoodie. He's hugging himself to retain any warmth he could.

He spots George approaching him, releasing his arms from around his body to encase Georges into a tight hug.

Greeting one another they slide into Dreams car.

Although he may have only turned 17 in August he had already passed his test, seeming to be a natural skill already engrained into his brain.

George felt the soft fabric of the seat as he clicked his seatbelt in. Watching as Dream twisted the key in the engine, revving it to life.

Laughing softly as Dream reversed out of his drive "You don't even know where we're going?" He stated.

Dream just shrugged as he rounded a corner.

"Well, I was going to give you some options but~" George sung "I think i want to go to the local cafe. You know the one?"

Dream paused, supposedly thinking. "Yeah, the one by the tiny flower shop?"

George hummed as he nodded, searching Dreams face for acknowledgment.

He leant his head back against the seat, shutting his eyes for a brief moment. Thoughts swarming through his head, none of which were particularly different to normal.

———

Suddenly he felt a squeeze to his thigh, jolting his eyes open, He realised Dream had already parked outside the local shop. He had got lost in his own thoughts.

Turning to open the car door, he shook the remaining thoughts from his head. Focusing on the task ahead.

The chiming of the bell signals their entry. Dream leading them over to a free table by the window.

George takes his seat before seeing the small box wrapped in blue paper, Dream had been holding it in his hand before he placed it in the centre of the table.

Smiling softly at George as he said "What do you want? I'll go get it."

"Surprise me" George giggled, trusting Dream to get him something tasty.

He watched as Dream walked away, feeling a little sad at the lack of his presence. He eyed the box in front of him, curious as to what it could be.

Dream came back about four minutes later, two drinks in his hands. One a bright, thick, orangey liquid, topped with what appeared to be granola and various small fruits. The other a deep shade of brown and a large swirl of whipped cream coated in a golden dusting.

Each drink had a paper straw stuck out the side. God forbid those things, they never last for the full drink.

George scrunched his eyes, neither looking all that delicious to him. Dream placed them down, the orange drink in front of George and the brown one in front of himself.

"It's an orange and mango smoothie." Dream smiled as he settled into his seat.

Hesitantly, George sipped a small bit of his drink, not expecting much. The flavour quickly bursting on his tongue, spreading to every tastebud. His eyes widened in admiration, a large grin split on his face.

"Oh my god" George almost moaned at the taste. His head tilting back as it slid down his throat. He nudged the cup forwards, offering some to Dream, who politely declined.

"That good huh?" Dream laughed.

"Yes, oh my god. It's amazing." George muttered, still drowning in the taste.

Dream focused ahead on George, smiling slightly as he watched the brunette sip on his drink.

He saw the box in the corner of his eye and nudged it forwards. Pushing it closer to George as a signal, letting him know he can open it.
