Today was a time to relax, the contestants were all hanging out and talking, and the mood of the entire place was happy. The teams had already been picked for this season. All of the contestants who had participated in BFB's Pre-Split were here, but there was someone new. Someone that no one had seen before. The idea of letting a new contestant onto the show was stolen from Two, and Four was the one who stole the idea. Although the idea had been used in seasons before that, Four still just wanted to say that he stole it from Two just to make them mad. It was a good idea, so it made sense that Four wanted to try it out.

The new contestant: Canvas. They were friends with almost everyone as soon as they set foot on the competition grounds. And I say almost everyone because they had developed a rivalry with Pen in the little time they had been here. They would steal each other's stuff, scare each other and sometimes prank each other. Pen always had the better pranks, since he was friends with Blocky and he would help him out a lot. Canvas liked going for simple pranks, since they were least expected from how simple and basic they were. They would get Pen every time.

And now it's time, the hellish nightmare's just about to begin. Canvas is chasing Pen, trying to get their book back that he stole. They should have looked where they were going... because if they did...

What is about to come would have never happened.

"Ow! Hey, what the-" Canvas stumbled back as they had accidentally ran into someone. They started to balance themself again, and they realised that they had bumped into the host of the show. "H-Hey! Get out of my way! I'm trying to chase that idiot over there!" Canvas points to Pen, who is still running off.
"Why are you chasing him?" Four asks, clearly curious about what's happening. He has seen these two chase each other a lot, but never really knew why they did it. "He stole my book and-"
"What?! That is absolutely unacceptable!" Four interrupts Canvas, as that is all that he needed to hear. Stealing people's stuff? He does not tolerate that at all. "Hey, Pen! Get over here right now!" Four calls out to him.

Pen rolls his eyes and walks over to Four, clearly annoyed that he was caught. Four holds out their hand, and Pen places the book in their hand. "Now, what do you have to say?" Four asks
"Sorry," Pen rolls his eyes again, and crosses his arms. He didn't like apologising to Canvas, he thought that they were the one in the wrong all the time. Four hands the book back to Canvas, and they smile. "Oh! Uh.. thank you!" Canvas smiles back, and puts the book back into their brown bag that they carry with them. "Sorry for being a bit rude when I bumped into you..." Canvas says, a bit ashamed of how they raised their voice at Four. They hold their hand out, offering a handshake to Four, and he shakes their hand. "I'm Canvas, by the way. The new contestant. But.. you probably already know that, heh,".

"Welcome to the show, Canvas! How have your first days been? Have you been preparing?" Four asks. Canvas thinks for a moment; they don't really have anything to prepare, nor do they need to prepare. "No.. but I've been talking to other contestants and getting as much information about them as I can. I want to get to know my team members, too," They say casually. This wasn't an answer Four was expecting, but he was happy with it. "Hey, um... would you wanna be friends? You seem like a pretty cool person to hang around!" Canvas adds, and their eyes look hopeful as they wait for an answer. Four's eyes widen a bit in surprise, a contestant has never asked to be his friend before. This was new to him. His only close friend in the competition was X, and it was kind of lonely when X was doing other things. He saw this as an opportunity to have another friend when he was alone. "Well, sure! You seem like a great  You person, and I'd love to get to know you better!" Four tells Canvas.

Canvas smiled at him, this was great! They finally had someone they could actually hang around! "Hey, how would you feel about going on a little adventure to strengthen our bond? It's a great way to get comfortable helping each other out, right?" Canvas suggested, they had always loved exploring different places, they even had a book full of different things they could find. "Oh, that sounds great! Where should we go?" Four asked curiously.
"We could go to that old temple on the other side of the forest! I've read all about it, and we could even find something really cool there!" Canvas says, clearly excited about the idea. Four agreed, and took Canvas' hand to take them through the forest.

As they both walked through the forest, they were looking at the beautiful scenery that surrounded them. There were flowers of many different colours: blue, pink, red, purple and yellow. Canvas' favourite was the yellow ones, and so they decided to pick a yellow flower and keep it with them. "So, what have you read about the temple?" Four seemed interested, and wanted to know all about it. Canvas was surprised that he would ask about something like that, no one is usually interested in that kind of stuff. "Well, there's supposed to be some sort of... relic. It's kept in there, but it's almost impossible to get to," they explain to Four, and he still seems quite interested. "It's hidden really well because it apparently has some sort of power in it. I think we could find it! Do you?" they ask, clearly confident in finding it. Four thinks for a moment; he isn't sure. Canvas said that it was almost impossible, so that means it's still possible, right? "I think we can do it, yeah!" he says confidently. They both continued walking through the forest, until the eventually reached the temple.

Four approached the temple, filled with curiosity and excitement. They carefully placed their hand upon the walls of the temple; it felt rough and slightly uncomfortable to put your hand on. He took his hand of after a second or two, then look back at Canvas. "Is this the right place?" Four asked, clearly still excited. Canvas nodded, and they approached the entrance to the temple. The walls were covered in pictures that were carved into the rough stone. They looked old... really old. Canvas looked further into the temple, and it was dark.

"Huh.. we're gonna need a flashlight. I only have one, so we'll have to stick together," Canvas looked back at Four as they got a flashlight out of their bag, waiting for him to follow behind. The two of them slowly walk down the deep stairs of the temple, making their way to the next room. The further down they went, the more the darkness wrapped around them, only having the small light from the flashlight to guide them. The stairs were cracked, small bits falling off of the edges as they stepped upon them, and the walls were covered in ancient text that could no longer be read.

Canvas as Four eventually reached the next room, and the unexpected coldness of the area was startling. Canvas moved the flashlight around a bit, observing their surroundings. "I don't see an exit.." they mumbled to themselves, still looking around. Four was walking around, and didn't seem all that bothered by the cold temperature and suffocating darkness. "There might be a lever here somewhere. It's probably a puzzle of some kind to open a secret door.". Canvas watched as Four walked aimlessly around the room, looking for a lever of some kind. "Is this it?" He pointed at a lever behind a stone statue, waiting for Canvas' approval. "I don't know, but you can try it," Four nodded, and pulled the lever. It was a bit stuck, so it needed a bit of a stronger push to flip it.

As soon as the lever was flipped, the walls shook and split to reveal stairs going down even further into the temple...
