chapter five

minho and jisung were leaned against their lockers looking at the other students trying to figure out who to hire for their kissing booth.

"nobody's gonna do it" minho says.

"don't say that yet, we just have to ask" jisung goes up to one of the popular girls jennie kim.

"jennie?"

"what do you want?"

"well we wanted to ask you something"

"no I'm not dating one of your friends" she says.

"it's not that— um... well you see—"

"just go to class nerd" she shuts her locker and laughs with her friends who all walk away.

"told you" minho says to him.

"well I'm not giving up" he says and goes up to jennie again.

"come on hear me out—"

"just because you're gay doesn't mean that you can be friends with all of the girls you encounter" jennie looks at him. "now go away"

"let's try someone else" minho says.

"fine"

"let's try a guy this time" minho looks around to see who would be best fit.

"I know someone" jisung looks at minho who looks at him confused.

"who?"

"I think you know"

"no"

"yes"

"not happening"

"why??"

"because if he does it it's gonna get fucked up" minho looks away from jisung.

"but he's the most good looking guy in school come onnnnn" jisung tugs his arm.

"it's not gonna work"

"yes it willll, come on minho pleeeaaasseeeeeee" he pouts.

minho looks at him with the most sparkling eyes as if he was looking at his lover.

he looks away and then sighs.

"fine but you're asking him"

"yes!!" he smiles and then goes to their first class where they share with hyunjin.

"hyunjin—"

"go away"

"hey, don't be an ass now" minho says.

"you don't be so ugly" hyunjin says right back.

"you're the one who's ugly" minho says.

"okaaaayyy come on stop it!" jisung intervenes. "look we wanted to ask you something"

"what? get it over with"

"well we were wondering if you could help us with opening a kissing booth" jisung says.

"what?"

"well you're the most good looking guy in school, a lot of girls are probably dying to kiss you, it would be great business if you did this" jisung adds.

"and why should I?" hyunjin crosses his arms.

"because deep down in that cold heart maybe you have something warm?" jisung says.

"did you say a kissing booth?" jennie intervenes.

"yeah" minho says.

"wow, that sounds hot" she crosses her arms.

"do you want to be one of the ones participating??" jisung asks her.

"hmm, well I am irresistible" she says. "what's in it for me?"

"10 dollars each hour maybe?" minho says.

"how many hours??"

"from 4-8 pm every day" minho says.

"do I get a break?"

"sure, a paid break!" jisung says.

"hm.. when will you open?"

"sometime next week"

"open tomorrow"

"what? that's too soon! we don't even have it set up yet"

"so you're two guys you can put it together in one day" jennie says and then glances at jisung. "well one and a half guys"

"what's that supposed to mean!?" jisung asks and jennie chuckles.

"whatever, I'll do it" jennie says.

"great! see you tomorrow at 4!" minho looks at him.

"what?"

"we won't be able to get it done that quick" minho whispers to him.

"yes we will, just listen to me"

"hm fine, and my nerd friend can make flyers and posters to hang around school" jennie says.

"great!" jisung smiles and jennie walks away to go to her desk.

"will I also get paid?" hyunjin asks.

"you'll do it!?" jisung was shocked.

"only if I get paid" he glances at minho. "and... he does it too"

"what!? no way!"

"then I won't do it"

"come on minho do it" jisung whispers to him. "it'll be fine"

"I haven't had my first kiss yet, I'm not wasting it on stupid assholes" he whispers back.

"well then don't consider it that then" jisung whispers again. "it's fine, besides I'll be there and if you're uncomfortable we can stop or find someone else to replace you"

minho sighs and gives hyunjin a dirty look.

"fine" he crosses his arms in anger.

"then I will do it too"
