A summer break to remember

*Manny woke up on the sunny Saturday morning, excited to go see his friends. But he was quickly disappointed when he saw the clock that read 9:43. He tried to sleep but knew he couldn't. A quick glance at his brothers bed he realized he wasn't the first to wake up. Slipping into his favorite shirt and shorts, he walked out into the kitchen area
Where Lucas and his mother sat.*

Lesley: Good Morning honey, you're up earlier than expected.

Manny: (sleepily) There was a loud car right outside the window

Lesley: Well now that you're up would you like some waffles?

Manny: Yeah :D

*Manny quickly ate the waffles, nearly choking several times, Lucas and Lesley stared unsure why he was doing that*

Lucas: Slow down Manny, no one's trying to take those from you

Manny: (between bites) The faster I eat the sooner it will be time to meet my friends!

Lesley:....No honey, it's the slower you eat. If you eat quickly you'll have nothing to do while waiting

*Manny thought for a second and then dropped his fork in realization*

Manny: Aaaa! You're right! * he stared at his empty plate* Well now what?

Lesley: Now you can change your shirt

*Manny looked down at his shirt and saw that he had a syrupy, powdery mess all over his favorite shirt*

Manny: yeah… I should

*He changed and made his way back to the table*

Lucas: Hey, do you want to go watch something? Grolton and Hovris is on

Manny: Yeah!

*The boys began to run into their living room when their mother stopped them*

Lesley: Hold on Hold on boys, don't go into the living room, go watch it in the family room

Manny: Why?

*Just then a tall, red, hairy guy walked into the kitchen where they all sat. It was Manny and Lucas's uncle hairy! He was on their dad's side of the family and rarely visited, but when he did it was always a good time*

Harry: No, it's fine. I'm awake now, and so is Robin

Manny: Uncle Harry!

*He ran into red and hugged him, Harry hugged back, twice as hard do to his size compared to the small child*

Harry: Heheh, Hey kiddo

*Lucas also ran into the hug, turning into a group hug. Suddenly the boys felt feathers on their backs and turned around to see their uncle Robin, who they also moved too quickly*

Manny: Wow! You're both here?!

Robin: Yep! We flew in last night!

Lucas: Why did you come to visit us?

Robin: Well we were in town why wouldn't we visit you?

Red: I think he means why are we in town.

Robin: Oh yes! We decided to spend the summer with you and your cousins!

( Manny and Lucas together) : YAAAAAAAAY

Manny: Wait, does that mean we'll get to see cousin Howdy more often?

Harry: Yep. In fact, we're having a party soon, she should be there.

Robin: It's going to be a big get together! Everyone we know will be there!
