Chapter 15- New Year

Date: December 30

{Asuna's POV}

I stare at the clock ticking, holding my balloons close. Everyone was doing the same, waiting for the clock to strike 12. 'A few more seconds....' I think, excitement boiling in my mind and body. "Lets count down!!" I hear Nami say. "10!!" She starts. I followed, eyes wide with excitement. "9!!!8!!!7!!!6!!!5!!" Everyone yelled. "4!!3!!2!!!1!!" I threw my balloons in the air and yells, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" We all yell in unison.

I smile wide as I run in the kitchen and holding a huge cake I made with my sister. "Hai!!! Here's your gift!!" I say, smiling wide. "Yay!! Cake made from onii-chan!!" Wataru says as he stretches his arms in the air. I smile and set the cake down. "Yay!!! Arigatto onii-chan!!" Wataru yells as he hugs me before looking at the cake with hungry eyes.

"Okay!! Let's party 'till the end!!!" Tsubaki yells. I smile and take a slice of the cake before handing it to Wataru. "Here." He smiles before eating it. "So good!!!!" He says, his smile widening. "You did good imoto-chan." Ukyo says as he takes a bite. I smile and watch them eat and take pictures once in a while.

After they finished cake we went out for an event that happened in the nearby park. Fireworks. We settled down at a specific spot and waited for the fireworks to start. It was snowing lightly as I made a snowman with Wataru. Nami was pranking random people by throwing a snowball at their faces without them knowing and run off.

Then we hear a huge explosion happen. I yelp with surprise and look up at the sky. There, a firework explodes, sparks flying everywhere. I smile as Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift starts to play through large speakers. Everyone's eyes widen with awe as they watch, fireworks exploding one after the other.

Even if Nami and I hate loud noises we soon got used to it and watch, smiling wide. I take a picture of the fireworks since we were sitting on top of a small hill which gave the breath-taking view of Japan. I smile as I lean on a nearby tree branch and watch, yawning slightly with sleepiness. "Sugoi!!! The fireworks are so pretty!!" Wataru says as he smiles.

I nod with agreement and continue to watch. This was the best New year I had in my life.

Time skip~

After the fireworks were done Japan soon became quiet. I settle in to sleep while I helped Nami set her extra bed on the floor next to my bed. I look at the present the brothers gave me and smile. "Are you settled in?" I are Emma say as she peeks in. I nod. "Hai onee-chan." She smiles before giving me a hug and walking off to her room.
"I don't know why they sleep so early. Iam still wide awake!!" Kami says as she looks at me, smiling wide. "Oh come on Nami its already 3 in the morning and your still not sleepy?" I say as I nudge her with a pillow. She giggles and lies down on her bed and look up at the ceiling. "Well sleepy or not today was a blast." She says as I walk towards where the light were and look back at her.

"Yep! Now lets sleep to wake up early tomorrow. If we can." I say as I turn off the lights and tuck in my bed and look up at the ceiling. "Ne, Asuna, your pretty lucky to have a lot of siblings. The fun never runs out." Nami says as she looks up at me and smile. "Yeah yeah I know now sleep!!" I say as I push her back to her bed. "Yes ma'am." Nami says as she smile and turn away before falling asleep.

I look at Juli fall asleep beside me and smile. 'Dad. I got a really great family. arigatto.' I think as I face the wall and fall asleep.
