CHAPTER I - The Caretaker and the Orphan [UPDATED]

On this day, I was still a caretaker on the orphanage for a year and half a month. I am happy that I took care of many children from the orphanage while so I also have another orphan that I took care of was the ones who said "troublesome". At first, they told me his name was Yasushi Inoue, unknown reason on why he came here on the orphanage. They said he suddenly showed up infront of the gate with a dirty face, some caretakers said he was far away, some said he ran away. But they were no answers from him, i don't really make opinions on something I never saw.

While I was sitting on a bench around the orphanage, I decided to write things on the diary I have, most of the things I wrote there are just things I did on this orphanage every day. It isn't important but it is to me in case I forget some things. I closed the notebook and looked at the sky. The sky was light blue and has a lot of clouds. This is something that my mind randomly said but. I never did what I wanted so far. Just after my childhood.

What was it and why don't I remember?

Does it contain things I don't want to remember?

That's what I always think. It's no use on remembering my child memory

Suddenly there was a boy that was running towards me, calling my name "Maam Akari!"

I looked where the call was coming from and it was one and only Yasu. He was the "troublesome" child they said but he grew attached to me after some people disliked on taking care of him due to his "personality". I do agree, since the first time I met him, he was not nice, but I understood it easily because he was scared. He doesn't know what to do and he doesn't know me, that's why I told the director to let me take care of Yasu. So then here we are

"maam? Are you listening to me?" I was thinking on my mind and I had forgotten he was calling me, I looked at yasu and answered "sorry Yasu, some things got into my mind" I chuckle

"Well! Im going to ask you again maam akari!" he smiles

"Can we go on a date?" yasu asked

I looked at him with no expression for a few seconds processing on what he said

" h u h ? "

Yasu then realized on what he said "... E-EH ?!?"

I did understand on what he said but he mentioned "date" which may be weird to other people once they heard this, but it was.. alright.

" OH OH! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!! I MEAN AS IN-" I slowly put my hand on his shoulder

"don't worry yasu it's not really that deep, I know what you meant but make sure to not say it loud" I softly laughed 

"okay.."

I asked him "so tell me do you want to go to your favorite place again?"

"Yes please!" yasu replied

This was 4th time this week and surely, he does really like that one bread called "cinnamon roll" I still gotta make him not eat too much of it or he might get diabetes. "Alright if you say so." I never also told him but i don't have much money, but im in luck since I recently got money this week. Its still not enough if I would buy a big book, I dreamed of getting though.

While walking with yasu to go on his favorite place which is called "Bread Café" it has really good serving and good coffee, I don't really like coffee since it tastes bitter on me but I'm still glad they added tea on the menu

We have now reached the place. To order I just have to go to the front where there is one waiter at the front. I told yasu to find a seat for the both of us. You can think he is not good at it but he is actually. I

"hello again Miss Akari! You want the usual right?"

"Of course, Cascara, thank you,"

The usual was 4 cinnamon buns, 1 cup of hot chocolate and 1 cup of tea. Again, I am not fan of coffee.

I shortly found yasu after I ordered and he was at the same spot like the last time we got to this place. Usually there are many cafés around so there aren't many people here who goes and buy, but usually if there was, they just buy, take out and leave.

Shortly, the waitress gave us our order and I payed for it after, I gave him his cinnamon bun and hot chocolate while I drink my tea. After we finished eating yasu was full and there was 1 cinnamon bun left.

"yasu are you going to give this cinnamon bun for your friend?" I asked

"yea! And maam I am so full!! That was delicious... thank you for letting me eat on this place again! Iwas really shy to ask you but I never thought you would accept it" he says it with a low voice "I really can't wait to eat on this place again!"

"wouldn't you get bored if we do this all over again?" I asked

"Maybe, but this always hype me up! Im really happy that you took care of me maam akari.." he smiles

When I heard on what he said it took me to hide my feelings that I would suddenly cry of happiness infront of him, and I don't want him to see me like that so I smiled back at him.

"well im glad you do yasu, im glad you like me."
