Overdose.

"Sweetie could you pour me another glass of wine?"
Over and over and over again. One bottle, two bottles, maybe three or even four. Another shot of vodka, pour, pour pour. If it wasn't wine it was vodka and if it wasn't vodka, I honestly don't know what it could've been. All I know is that my mother had a drinking problem. She wasn't an alcoholic but she definitely needed help. I hated my mother when she was drunk; always overly emotional, irrational, and not what I wanted to deal with.

You see, my family is messed up in more ways than one - but whose isn't? - My mother kicked my dad out when she decided that she didn't love him anymore which was about 3 years ago and shortly after that my eldest brother Hunter moved out. Mum and Hunter fought all the time because he was so much like my father, so therefore she despised any word that came out of his mouth that didn't praise her. When dad left, mum went off the rails completely. She started doing everything that my dad hated or never let her do and that is where everything went downhill. After Hunter finally got away from home, he left me with my other brother Alex and her.

She thought it was funny, that it was all just one big joke. The way she treated people and how she felt about me when she was drunk really crushed me inside. Alex, one of my two older brothers was the favourite and boy was she not afraid to admit it. She'd end up passed out on her bed with the TV still blasting and no blankets to keep her warm at night. Who turned the TV off? Who put a blanket on her at night? Who? Me. I did. Did she ever thank me? No, because she never even remembers how she ended up there in the first place.

I want to sing. I want to be happy with what I do, I want to travel the world and see all of the amazing things in life that I can't find here in Brisbane, Australia. I want to write, I want to save animals, I want to get out of here.
