Today I had a strange story...
...It was Monday. As usual, my mother and I went to school, but when I went into my class, I didn't see anyone. I went to the schoolyard. Mom stood there and looked around, because there were no people on the playground, on the football field, or in the whole school.
Very strange... We went outside again and... heard only an echo to our question: Is anyone here?
We returned to our house and took my little sister Cristina and a cat named Pipka.
We drove all over Sucre by car, but we never found a single person in the city. The streets were empty. Houses, shops, and schools remained silent.
We got scared. What's happened?
We left the car and walked to another city, hoping to meet someone along the way. We walked for 3 days and came to Santa Cruz and what do you think? There were no people in Santa Cruz either!
- Where did they all go? we asked each other.
