Mercury and Toby were frozen in place. This. was. not. happening. "No." Mercury spat out, walking off. Toby followed after them, tears filling his eyes and his breathing getting sped up. He followed Mercury outside, hearing their sniffles and quiet cries. Eventually Mercury stopped, standing there in almost complete silence. Toby walked over next to them, "Its ok.. let it out.." they said, comfortingly. Mercury clinged to him as tears poured down his face as it sobbed. Toby hugged them and started crying. They stood there, crying aggressively. The amount of loss they both felt was immense, they both felt like the entire was falling apart around them. At least they had each other though.
The two of them stood there for so long it seemed like all the time in the world had passed. They had eventually ended up on the ground near the doors though neither of them remember getting there. When Micheal woke up he saw that both Mercury and Toby weren't there and gently moved Elizabeth off his lap and onto the seat next to him before getting up. The lack of Mercury and Toby told him one thing, they'd gotten news. The two of them wouldn't just take off without getting news because they wanted or needed anything. Micheal looked around the waiting room and didn't see anything so he had hoped and prayed to the gods he had never believed in that it was good news. Once Micheal got to the front desk he had asked the receptionist what had happened and his hopes had immediately been crushed, his dreams completely shattered.
Of course. One good thing. He couldn't have one. good. thing. Why. First C.C, then Charlie, and now this. If he hadn't just not put C.C in that damned head.. no. He can't think about that now. There are more important things going on right now. Micheal went to get Elizabeth, picking her up and going to look for Toby and Mercury as tears slowly and quietly rolled down his face. He couldn't do this, he couldn't be the adult or responsible one, what the fuck- he's still a kid too! He shouldn't have to be a parent. But here he is.
Once Micheal got outside the hospital doors he spotted Toby and Mercury, both sitting on the ground, too tired to be freaking out anymore. Micheal went and put Elizabeth in the car, coming back and gently shaking the two. Toby groaned and didn't even open his eyes, trying to just try and sleep this off and wake up from this nightmare. Mercury opened his eyes open, them both red and tired. Mercury shooed Micheal away with a groan. "I know, I know, but we gotta go.." Micheal sighed. Mercury reluctantly got up, grabbing the car keys from Micheal.
Micheal sighed and picked Toby up, putting them in the backseat, next to Elizabeth before getting into the passenger seat. "You sure you're ok to drive?" Micheal asked, not sure if any of them should be driving in a time like this. "Yea, I'm not my father." Mercury muttered bitterly. He wasn't mad at himself, or Micheal, he was mad.. at Henry. And William. "Wow- Jokes about Henry's crash before his corpse is cold?" Micheal asked, raising his eyebrow. "What time is it?" Mercury asked, ignoring Micheal's own question.
"6am?" Micheal stated as more of a question. "His body has cooled, about 1 or 2 degrees, and if they put him in the morgue he's probably even colder." Mercury stated simply, deadpanned and monotone. The rest of the car ride was stiff silence, once they got to the Emily house Mercury sighed, getting out of the car without another word and going into the house. Micheal brought both of his siblings back into the house before sighing, going to the phone in the kitchen and calling the one person he knew he could.
"Hello?" Jeremy's voice spoke through the other line, calm, and.... unaware. "Jere- Jeremy.." Micheal cried, unable to stop the tears pouring from his eyes. "Mike? Mike, baby, whats going on?" Jeremy asked, worriedly. "It- Charlie- Henry- they're both.. shit.. they're both dead!.." Micheal cried, scratching at his arms through his sleeves. Jeremy was stunned but he didn't have a second to freeze, "Micheal, love, where are you? Take a deep breath, in for two, hold for two, out for two, ok?" he instructed. "Hen-Henry's house.." Micheal sniffled, sitting down on the floor.
"Alright sweetie, I'll be right there, I'm ten minutes away, just breathe for me, and Mikey.. its not your fault, don't worry about it, and don't take it out on yourself... please.." Jeremy pleaded. Micheal let out a quiet 'mhm..' and sniffled. In reality Jeremy was probably 20 minutes, having to wake up and get his little sibling. Once Jeremy got there he didn't even need to take his keys out, the door wasn't even locked. Jeremy rushed to the kitchen and sat down, pulling Micheal into his arms, "Oh love, its ok.. Im sorry... im so sorry.." he whispered.
Jeremy's little sibling Kimi shut and locked the front door. Jeremy told them what happened, and it was a bit awkward for them. Kimi's parents had finally gave Jeremy custody of Kimi after months of fighting, and for the first time in her life, Kimi was in Hurricane, Utah. Kimi went into the living room and pulled out her newest saphic book interest, reading that because they had nothing else to do in this stranger's house.
Jeremy held Micheal and calmed him down, reassuring him calmly and sweetly, "Love, I promise it's not even a little bit your fault.." he whispered to Micheal, kissing his head. Meanwhile downstairs, in the basement Mercury started working on the first twisted that Toby gave it the design for. Mercury was cutting some metal, looking between the saw and his arm. How much could it hurt.. probably not more than Henry's crash... or Charlie when she was murdered.. How could he go unscarred.. He didn't get that.. Mercury moved his arm slowly closer to the saw.
This wouldn't hurt as bad as what his father or sister felt, not at all. He shouldn't be such a coward, he shouldn't be such a pathetic- "FUCK!" Mercury yelled out, grabbing his left wrist with his right hand, hissing. It looked up the basement staircase and panicked, of course he left the door open! He needed to get something over this.. its gonna get blood everywhere.. what was he thinking!? Ah yes let me put my arm to this electric saw that cuts metal. Mercury's head felt light as the blood spilt from its wound. This would be the point where Mercury asks for help, if it wasn't a stubborn bitch. Mercury looked back over to the staircase, seeing someone standing there.
Mercury tried to go closer to the staircase, slipping backwards on the blood that had spilt to the floor, and just like that, everything was dark.
