"You're an idiot, I swear," she laughed.

She basically insulted me to my face and I don't feel the least bit annoyed. I smiled at her and circled my hand around her wrist as I led her up to the rooftop, where we spent most of our free time talking.

"So how was your day?" I asked her, sitting down on the floor by the door.
"Boring," she sighed. "I didn't even listen in class,"
"Did you hide and sleep?"

She nodded. I chuckled and patted her head.

"I taught you well."

She didn't mind what I said and trying to hide her smile, leaned her head against my shoulder. For a while, I stared at her. I tore my gaze away from my best friend and looked at the setting sun.

She always liked to watch the sunset and that was why we would never go home as long as it was still light. I could never leave her to go home alone anyway. I didn't want anything bad to happen to her.

So until night would fall, we would sit there, talking quietly and listening to each other's stories. We never lost stories to tell since so many things would happen each day.

"For real," she said, a smile on her lips. "How could you do that to her?"
"She wasn't my type. It's not like I can force to date her, you know,"

She was silent for a long time.

"Now that we're on this subject... Do you have anyone you like?"
"Yeah," I nodded slowly, wishing that this wouldn't be the time for me to confess. "Do you?"

She straightened and got up, pacing a few steps before motioning for me to get up.

"Let's go home, Nyoung," she said, her voice suddenly quiet.

I immediately got to my feet and followed her down. She was walking strangely fast and I had to jog to keep up with her. That moment, I somehow realized that she must have someone she had feelings for.

But my question is, who is he?

"Do you want to come in first?" she questioned, holding the door open.
"No, thanks," I shook my head. "I have to go."

She nodded slowly and gave me a faint smile before bidding me goodnight and closing the door. I turned around on the spot and, still thinking about her, started to make my way to my place.

I pulled out my phone and turned it on, plugging in my earphones and putting them in my ears. As I walked, I hummed along to the songs that played. I was only listening to music to try and take my mind off of her, but she was still there.

Do I really like her that much?

~*~

"Wait," she held up a hand and quickly ran off in the opposite direction, leaving me standing there alone as I watched her run without a single idea what she was going to do.

She was gone for twenty minutes or so, and in that time, I just played games on my phone, not knowing what else to do and not willing to leave without her.

"Sorry for taking so long," she went back to me, panting.
"It's fine," I smiled, putting my phone inside my pocket as she stood there, trying to catch her breath. "What did you do?"
"I had to get something from my locker. You know how messy it is,"

I laughed, nodding.

"Yeah, I do. But you found it?"
"It's in my bag,"

She linked her arm through mine.

"Let's go home, Nyoung. We can see the sunset as we walk,"

Sometimes, instead of watching it up on the rooftop, she would suggest looking at it as we walked home. Usually, it would be when she was tired and or had a lot of homework to do.

"Here," she put one of her earphones in my ear. "Your favorite playlist,"

A smile made its way to my face as she started the first song. Every once in a while, we would share the same pair of earphones like this, listening to my favorite playlist on her phone. It had been a few weeks since the last time so it was nice to do it again.

She sang softly and I looked down at my feet as we walked, waiting for my turn to sing. We always did that whenever we listened to music together. It was sort of a routine that could never change between the both of us.

"Time goes fast when we sing,"

She nodded in agreement and reached up to take her right earphone from me. She put it on and smiled at me.

"See you, Jinyoung," she told me, a hand raised.
"See you," I replied automatically.

She stood there in front of me for a minute, staring expectantly at me as if she was waiting for me to do something, but she suddenly turned around and quickly went up the steps to her house after realizing something and a blush crept up her cheeks.

"Yah," I called her name loudly.

She looked back at me. I reached out my hand, trying to decide if I should tell her now before I left to get it over with already before merely smiling and waving to her again.

"See you tomorrow,"

This is one of those times where I want to tell her I like her already, but I just can't find the courage to. Sometimes, I wish that she could realize my feelings when I hug her but that is pretty much impossible. I always hug her and I don't think it makes her feel any different.
