"I don't wanna be your friend anymore, Kyle!"
Those words lingered through Stan's head for years, thinking about what he said to Kyle when he needed him the most. "I was just 12." Stan tells to himself everyday. Stan gets off his bed, running to his shower. When he was done he still had those words stuck right there. Usually after he wakes up those words immediately runs away. But today was different, something was calling out for Stan but he couldn't tell what it was.Stan wanted to understand it, he still remembers that day like yesterday and how shitty he was back then. The more he thinks about he finally knows what that voice was telling him.
Apologize to Kyle...
Stan had that thought for a long time but also thought about how it would be hard to get Kyle to accept his apology. It was like that voice was staying there intentionally until Stan could realize he needed to apologize. All he knew that It had to be today, at school.
time skip to 7:10 AM
Before getting out his Randy's car he takes a piece of gum. Stan didn't have a car yet, but, he knew how to drive. From a distance Kenny, Cartman approached Stan.
"Morning Dude." Kenny said to Stan doing their handshake.
"What's up Marsh!" Cartman says recklessly.
"What do you want Cartman?" Stan frowned.
"What do you mean Stan?" Cartman giggles.
"You only manage to atleast give me a greeting when there's something you wanna tell me or there's something your need." Stan rolls his eyes making sure Cartman saw it.
"Well you got me on this one Marsh!" Cartman chuckles.
"Man, you don't gotta tell Stan! Let him figure out himself." Kenny whispers to Cartman making sure Stan didn't hear him.
"Oh it's nothing Stan, just forgot." Cartman says nervously.
"Ok guys, I'm gonna head in." Stan exclaims, running towards the dull high school.
When Stan walks in he sees everyone whispering to eachother. Every single conversation mentioning Kyle. Stan heads over to Tolkien and Tweek sitting on one of the indoor bench in the lobby together.
"Hey guys, what's everyone blabbing about again?" Stan asks the boys.
"Y-You haven't heard?" Tweek stutters.
"Does it look like I've heard?" Stan replies to Tweek. Tweek rolls his eyes then let's Tolkien explain.
"There was a baseketball game on Sunday and well, the best player, Kyle, heart started to act up for him. He got sent to the hospital and he also can't play for the South Park Cows anymore since this had been the 5th time he's been to the hospital during a game." Tolkien explains quickly.
"Oh, well, I hope he's fine, I guess?" Stan says averting his gaze to the clean floors.
"I-I Guess? ITS HIS 3RD TIME TO THE HOSPITAL THIS YEAR!!" Tweek screams.
"Dude calm down, just because Craig isn't here today doesn't mean you can yell at people all the time." Tolkien says to Tweek softly.
"For some reason the hospital let him out really early. I people said he begged them because he had a Math test? I don't know man." Clyde adds walking by.
After hearing that, Stan ran to the place where he thought he would see Kyle, The Gym. When he opened the door he saw Kyle struggling to pick up a basketball on the floor. Stan walked to him and helped him get the ball. Kyle stood up straight to see Stan standing there, silent.
Stan looked up at Kyle and backed up from him.
"So hey-"
Before he could finish, Kyle slowly walked away to the bleachers.
"Don't ever say a word to me again." Kyle strikes on Stan.
"Look I came here to make-" Kyle cuts Stan of again with his voice full of anger.
"You should've done that about 4 years ago, when it was actually the perfect time to fix your problems with me, you mother fucker." Kyle spits out angrily as he does a free throw.
Stan jumps at Kyle strongs choices of words.
"I was a asshole then, ever since that incident happened I had a voice telling me to apologize but I couldn't just hear it until now." Stan winces.
"So your telling me you want to apologize for something that happened over 4 years ago just because you finally heard some imaginary voice?" Kyle shouts out.
"It's not imaginary, everyday I wake up hearing the choice of words I told to you on your fucking 12th birthday." Stan explains to Kyle.
Kyle ignores what Stan says and walks slowly to keep the basketball.
"Look Kyle, I was an asshole and I'm truly sorry, I changed, I was angry!" Stan tells Kyle first.
"Angry for 4 years or so? Yeah no, you left me when I needed you. When I really needed you. Do you know how it feels not to be able to do the thing you love the most? Do you know how it feels to go to the hospital over 5 times every year? Do you know how it feels to have fucking heart disease?!" Kyle voice starts to break.
"Kyle I wanna make it up to you! I promise whatever you want!" Stan cries out.
"I want to not have diabetes and all these other health issues, but your not God Stan, now leave me alone you fake bitch." Kyle says searching his bag.
Stan walks out the Gym and wipes his tears, knowing that Kyle would never forgive him. If he was Kyle he wouldn't either, Stan left Kyle when he needed him the most.
