Natasha's POV

*After the mission*

Bruce suffered an injury-a gunshot to his abdomen, specifically on the left side. The severity of his condition was evident, and I couldn't help but feel awful for him. Overwhelmed with worry, I made my way to his room, desperately hoping to find him recovering.

"Hey." He responds.

"Are you okay?" I asked him, my voice filled with concern.

Hmm... why? Actually, I'm the one who should be asking you that."

"Bruce, I'm doing really well. What's the reason behind your question?"

"Nothing..." he whispered, his voice barely audible. "But you don't seem alright." He moved closer to me.

"I am... How's your wound?"

"hurts, but it's alright." He responds

I rose from the bed and made my way downstairs, each step causing me pain. The enticing aroma of pancakes and eggs filled the air, creating an irresistible scent. Despite the discomfort, I continued my slow walk, savoring the delightful smells that surrounded me.

"Morning" Red head said it.

"Hi. Sorry."
