very forgetful

Just after a few days time, there came along the next bigger mission.

Well, it really wasn't that big to be exact, it was a much lower ranking mission than they usually have but sometimes that is what it is.

Their mission was to escort a family from Konoha to their home in another village in Hi no Kuni. They had been visiting a family member and due to  being robbed on the way there, the relative insisted on paying them an escort.

The family consisted of a father, two young children, a boy and a girl and their grandma.

Who was very talkative but also highly forgetful, which became more and more apparent as she and Guy were having the same conversation for the fourth time

"My, my, you sure look an athlete but aren't you a little old for it?" a cranky voice rang

and again guy took it like a pro, he clears his thought "It's true my lady, I may not be the youngest anymore but the fire of youth is still burning inside me. Really, I ASURE you, I am well capable, also I am not an athlete, we are shinobi" he says in an enthusiastic, go lucky voice

"aah, whatever"

Guy gives up

"anyway, not like that cute little couple right there" she points to Tenten and Neji walking further behind while Lee watches the children.

"you mean us?" Tenten asks, a little unpleased to be brought into the conversation

"Yeah, you!" the old woman states.

"Yeah, no we're not a couple" She says, trying her ultimate best at hiding her nervousness.

"What do you mean you're not a couple?!" she sounded seriously offended, as though someone had eaten the last piece of the birthday cake that she hadn't tasted yet.

"Were all just assigned shinobi to a mission, we're all just work buddies, good friends!" Lee adds to the matter, in hopes to ease her agitated respond

"Oh, work buddies my ass!" She says

"Mom!" the father says "the children are here"

"I don't care Yuki, look at them! Not a couple, yeah, right?! And I just turned 28! HAHA"

Tenten cannot get around her blushing face

"I'm truly so sorry" the father goes to apologize to Guy and the others  "Ever since she's developed her memory problem, she started behaving more and more like this, really she doesn't mean to offend anybody! I will pay you extra." he goes on

"No, no, there's no need for that. We've been payed enough, this is our job, we have experienced worse on the battle field but it would still be good if maybe, Mrs. Tsuko, you could treat us a little nicer, we are your escorts after all." Guy says earnestly in a mediating tone.

"pfh!" is all the grandma gets out.

"Thank you for being so understanding" the father says helplessly

'yeah right, doesn't mean to offend anybody, of course she does!' is what went down in Tentens head.

after some more walking they reached a field. It was a huge green meadow with flowers all over. The children were head over heels and Lee rushed or well, was dragged after them, as it was his given task to watch over them and the children also both liked Lee a lot.

The others decided to this this opportunity for a break and settled near the trees in the shade and ate something.

After awhile the children, with the girl going ahead and the boy, who was also younger, was standing slightly behind his sister, they both came from the field to the others and went up to Neji

the girls shyly, seeming to gather her courage for a moment and asked "C-can we braid you hair?"
