SERAPHINA
I LOOK AT WHERE Othello stands, still wrapped around the gorgeous woman, while most of his attention is assessing every inch of the club and searching through the minds of the partygoers. I once again stared at the emergency door that sticks out like a sore thumb here in the club because of its neon red colour. Behind those very doors lies a man that I once considered a friend; however, he is no longer that person but rather the man that I loathe with every minuscule part of my very existence. It may be childish and unreasonable, but there will always be a part of me that will loathe him for being my twin flame—the person who is destined and fated to complete every minuscule part of me.
We both have no choice in the matter, I know, but I still can't help but loathe him for it. There will always be a part of me that will stay bitter because it is thanks to him that he ruined anyone and everyone for me. I loathe him as much as I loathe the fates, and the universe for my love should not have been this difficult; this impossible to betide.
I turned away from the door with a scoff before walking with haste to where Othello stood. With the use of my telepathic powers, I manipulated the mind of the woman that Othello is with, planting in her mind the powerful urge to get out of Othello's presence and enjoy the rest of the night without seeking him ever again.
I was halfway near them when the woman left, her face appearing glazed as she walked past me in haste. "You know I was enjoying her company, Seraphina," my uncle said in a scolding manner, his face twisted in a pensive frown.
I held back the aggressive response that wanted to escape my mouth, so I chose to speak about business instead: "Let's do the Siren's Call, Othello." Just like that, his disapproval disappeared but worry immediately came to replace it.
He was taken aback by my gruff response. "Are you sure? It will surely lure out other supernatural beings, not just our target, Seraphina."
I nodded. "I am sure, and this way, we can see if there are other supernatural beings that are not abiding by our rules, Othello. We have enough men in the area that can control the situation and pull off numerous arrests." I cheered internally when my idea seemed to sway him.
"Alright, if that's what you want," he said as he took his phone out of the back pocket of his charcoal grey trousers. "I'll inform our men, so we can reconvene in an hour or two. Am I right to assume that you will be the one that will perform it?"
I nodded once again. "Yes, would you mind if you could prepare everything that I need for it?"
"No, don't worry about it," he said as he patted my head on his way to walk past me.
I walk fast to match his unrelenting pace, almost tripping over myself. "Would you also mind if I want to have the two hours to myself, uncle?" I almost yelled with a slightly unconcealed amount of impatience and irritation.
