The trees were losing more of their colour as the crimson red and pumpkin orange leaves fell from the branches. I looked up to see the beautiful blue sky to see the softest-looking clouds I'd ever seen. They look softer than a cat's fur or even a cheap tuff of cotan.

I was walking with my crew in a village to get supplies for the ship. When we arrived we were being looked at unpleasantly. We are used to it, it's normal for people not to like pirates much. We split up into a group of two so there were 3 groups. Rena and Karlose, Kamau and Karma then me ad Spirit.

We were walking through the village with the meat. We were talking about random things until we overheard a conversation between two girls not too far behind us. I didn't want to listen to their conversation too much until I heard one of them say siren. I got interested so I turned around and asked them. "I'm sorry for intruding on your conversation but by any chance did you say siren?" They looked at me and smiled giving me a response to the question. "It's fine you don't need to worry about it and yes I did why do you ask?" I simply answered. "Aren't they just an old legend? I was curious to know why two beautiful grown ladies would talk about such a legend."

They chuckled but stopped when the rabbit hybrid started speaking. "Well, I was telling my girlfriend about how I heard and saw one not too long ago. Right in the Fairies Forest at the Sparkling River." Spirit's jaw dropped before he screeched. "No way! Did you see and heard a siren? Are you sure it wasn't a mermaid?" She looked at Spirit with a small smile. "Yes, I'm sure, mermaids aren't good at singing and they don't have elven ears and a mix of another hybrid."

Her girlfriend and Spirit were too stunned to speak. But I on the other hand had many questions to ask her, but I only asked one more question. "Would you by chance have a drawing of the siren you saw?" She nodded and took out her sketchbook

"I didn't have my colours with me so it doesn't have the colours. But I remember what were the colours!" I looked at the black and white sketch. "Their hair was black and red, and their eyes were purple-blueish I'm not sure. The tail was red and white like a koi fish and a part of their skin looked like an Enderman's skin."

We nodded, then Spirit spoke. "Well, captain we should get going. We don't want to keep the others waiting right?" I chuckled. "Your right. Well, it was nice talking to you, ladies." I bowed then walked away.

We arrived at the ship after about 9 minutes of walking. "Hey! Captain, you finally made it!" I smiled at the man with a pitchy voice and white hair at the age of 20. "Hi, Kamau! Sorry, it took long. We were talking to two young ladies about something." Then a woman with hazelnut skin and dark chocolate-coloured hair came up to us trying not to walk into something. "Hello, Rena. How are you doing?" She smiled. "Blind as always but I'm doing well. What were you talking about with the girls?"

My smile got wider. "We were talking about her seeing a Siren." They gasped and then looked confused. "Aren't Siren's a myth? They aren't real, they're just old pirates' fairytale!" My smile faded. "Now that's where your wrong Kamau! If Hybrids, Mermaids, Vampires, Dragons and more exist then why wouldn't Sirens exist?" He froze, he knew I was right but tried to convince himself that I'm wrong.

"We'll know if we are correct or false if we go to the Sparkling Rivers in the Fairies Forest." A ghost rabbit hybrid said as the youngling walked closer. "Spirit's right, that's where she saw the Siren. So there's a chance that they are still there!"

"Ha ha! I can see!" Rena then shouted. Rena has this rare type of blindness. At any time she can see again but not by choice. It can last for at least 2 hours, then she can't see again. It can be very confusing for new people.

We laughed at her sudden outburst and then set off to the Sparkling Rivers. Karma was steering the ship, me and Rena were having an arm resale. When the sun was setting we watched, and we fell into a deep slumber in peace.
