They were now standing in the farm now wearing mud colour coveralls.
"So here's gonna be your first task of the day, go open the chicken house and duck house. Then feed them the grains, after that feed the cows there and draw milk from them, go! Be quick" Mark's grandma said as the six run around the farm. Jaemin went to open the chicken house and duck house while Chenle spread the grains on the ground so they can eat, Renjun and Jisung started to feed cows while Jeno and Donghyuck were standing with clean buckets in their hands to draw milk.
They were all confused but managed to did it with lots of struggle. Though Jeno and Donghyuck had to get kicked by the cows several times in order to draw the milk but it wasn't anything serious.
With much difficulties they were able to do there first chores.
"All right you completed your task, though you didn't did a neat job but as it's your first day, I will make an exception to it, now go and have your breakfast and after 30 minutes of eating your breakfast come to the fields, you are gonna sow the paddy seeds" Mark's grandpa said in a stern voice and everyone nodded like they were some kind of soldiers at war.
They cam back to the house and Jaein served them their breakfast and they never felt so much thankful for food in their entire life. It was the very first time they did this much hardwork. Yuta and Jungwoo joined them in the breakfast.
"Wow , look at this Jungwoo, the brats are finally doing some hardwork, look at the way they are eating like they were starving for months" Yuta said making fun of them and getting a smack from Jungwoo and 7 pare of glares.
"Stop mocking them, they are working so hard for their love you should cheer them up, Mark wouldn't appreciate you making fun of them" Jungwoo scolded Yuta who now looked like a kicked out puppy.
"I was just kidding, why are you being serious, of course I support them or more likely support Mark because whatever you say they are brats" Yuta said shrugging. They rolled their eyes at him and continued eating. "Hey! Don't roll your eyes at me brats I am still your teacher!" Yuta said dramatically.
"Yeah, yeah, sorry TeaChEr!" Chenle said mocking.
They then continued eating. When they were finished they tested for a bit before going to their next destination, which was the fields.
"Now you see these fields, you will work on the three of them, two people in each, you will sow the seeds there in it. One of the farmers will show you how to do it so see it carefully because if you don't do it properly the rice will not grow" Mark's grandma said and everyone nodded.
(A/n*: by the way this is what I meant by the seeds, I don't know what it's called in English 😅)

A middle aged person showed them the process of planting the seeds and they all listened carefully and after the total understanding they get to their work. At first they couldn't do it, the seeds were not getting planted properly, they were either becoming inclined or falling down completely. But after so many tries they finally got it how to do it. They then continued doing that.
After about continuous 3 hours working their ass off they were finally done. Their clothes were drenched with sweat, dirty water and mud.
"Okay you are done with your this chore too boys, go feed the cows, chicken and ducks again and then go get changed. After that you can eat your lunch and after resting for 30 minutes you will go to collect woods for fire and cut them in half as well before dinner" Mark's grandma said and they nodded and went to the house while Mark's grandparents looked at them.
When they were out of sight Mark's grandparents turned around, and his grandpa shouted in a loud voice, "how long are you gonna hide behind that tree?" .
With a very hesitant steps Mark and Jaein came out of the said tree which was situated in the further corner of a field. From their one can look around the all fields their without getting noticed but guess Mark wasn't lucky enough to not get caught.
"What are you doing here? Didn't I told you not to meet them while they work and Jaein I thought we told you to look after him?" Mark's grandpa said.
"Don't scold Jaein I insisted on to come here, also I was just watching them, I didn't meet them" Mark said pouting.
"And what was the need for that may I ask?" Mark's grandma asked.
"I was just worried for them, they never did this kind of work before" Mark reasoned.
"And you think we don't know that? You told that to us multiple times, Mark we will not do anything that will harm them, we are not bad people you know, we just want to confirm if they are good for you or not, my child we always want you to be happy and that's why we wouldn't want you to get hurt" Mark's grandma said.
"Even if they are adult they are still in their Teenage zone, at this age everything seems like it gonna be perfect or such, but when the real responsibility comes everything changes, they are all same age and so they might never thought about it before, getting everything in their hands, we want to just know if they will stay with you in any hardships or not, we never want to hurt you Mark and you need to understand that we are doing all of this for you, we don't want you to get hurt again, we don't want to see the hurt or confusion we saw on you when your father left you here, I want you to deserve the real love my baby" Mark's grandma said and Mark nodded teary eyed.
"I understand grandma and grandpa, I always trust you, I love you both alot and I love them too" Mark said hugging his grandparents.
"We know baby, now go eat your breakfast and rest in your room, or you can go have a tour of the village with Jaein, it's been a while you came here" Mark's grandpa said and Mark nodded.
"Let's go Jaein" Mark said and Jaein nodded smiling.
