The Way It Should Be

C h a p t e r 1

Aarons's POV:

"I'm completely in love with you Catalina. I have been since the moment I laid eyes on you. I love you."

I watched as her eyes grew huge and her mouth dropped open.

Lina's POV:

"I'm completely in love with you Catalina. I have been since the moment I laid eyes on you. I love you."

My eyes went huge and my jaw dropped without me meaning for it to.

"It's ok, you don't have to say it back I'll prove it to you."

I was completely in awe of the man that stood in front of me. The moment I heard those words escape his mouth I knew what I wanted.

I gently cupped his cheek in my hand and kissed him slowly. I felt him gasp against my mouth and place a hand on my hip and kiss me in return.

We were in my parent's apartment in Spain for my sister's wedding that was tomorrow. My cousin Charo on the other end of the hallway in the room with the bed that had collapsed earlier under the pressure of Aaron's weight. She was probably thinking about how she was going to tell the rest of our family that we broke the bed, if she hadn't already told them.

But I didn't want to think about her, what I wanted was to focus on Aaron.

He placed one of his large hands on my hip and I placed my hands on his firm chest holding his shirt.

After a moment Aaron placed his other hand on my back and slowly rubbed up and down as we kissed. I slid my tongue over lips and he moaned opening his mouth for me. I moaned when our tongues met.

After a few minutes I slowly parted from him. Nothing in my life had ever felt better than kissing Aaron. I realized that I had never really hated him like I thought I did but admired him with not wanting to realize.

He wrapped his arms around me and held me against his chest as if he was afraid I'd run away. He pressed his lips to my head and stayed there for a moment.

I looked up at him and smiled. "I love you Aaron."

He smiled and cupped my chin running his thumb over my cheek. He leaned down to me and kissed me again.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back determined to show him just how much I meant it.

When we pulled apart we were both breathless and dreamy eyed.

"I love you Catalina. I have since the moment I laid eyes on you. I know I've been an idiot and haven't treated you right but the truth is I don't really know how to show it if I'm being honest. I'm sorry."

He looked away from me and I gently grabbed his chin so he'd look at me.

I smiled. "It's ok, I love you too, I'll admit I thought I hated you before but after you insisted I bring you here with me I realized I never did."

I kissed him. He kissed me back and placed his hands on my hips and pulled me close to him.

We pulled apart several minutes later and he grabbed my hand and kissed it. He then put my hand over his heart and I could feel it racing. It was as if his heart was in a race and needed to get first place. "My heart is all yours my love. It beats only for you."

I blushed and he kissed me. "You are freaking adorable when you blush Lina." I kissed him.

I held his hand and led him to the bed we would be sharing. Before I was a little nervous about sharing a bed with him but now I was excited. I wanted to cuddle with him and fall asleep in his arms.

All of a sudden it got really cold and my skin got goose bumps. He got in bed and pulled me in next to him. "Lina you're freezing." I was only wearing an oversized tee and shorts. He pulled me against him and kissed my hair. He wrapped his arms around me and I snuggled into him. I laid my head on his chest with my cheek resting over his heart. "I love you mr robot." He chuckled and kissed the top of my head. "I love you baby."

He cupped my chin in his hand and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

A few minutes later Charo knocked on our door and a second later opened it. "Lina your mom wants.. oh!" We quickly pulled apart but Aaron didn't let go of the hold he had on my waist. I smiled at him and looked at Charo.

¿Qué es Charo?" My eyes widened. "Why don't you see for yourself." She turned her phone around and I watched as my mother's eyes widened. She smiled. "Hi Aaron, and Lina." I rolled my eyes. "Hello Mrs. Martin."

"I see you two are getting settled in."

"Charo, déjalos en paz." I smiled as Charo rolled her eyes. "Fine buenos noches you two." "Buenos noches Charo." Aaron said. I didn't say anything but turned back to face Aaron. I laid my head on his chest again and kissed the skin over his heart.

"Goodnight sweetheart." I say as I ran my fingers through his hair and grab his hand that was on my hip. "Goodnight my beautiful girl." He kissed my neck and sucks lightly.

"Aaron I don't think my bridezilla of a sister would like it if I show up to her wedding as the maid of honor with a hickey."

He sighed. "You know how to do makeup." I laughed. "Yes mi amor I do but still." He sighed again and kissed my neck again. "Fine I just won't leave a mark." He kissed my neck again and moved to my jaw.

He pressed a kiss to the top of my head and buried his face in my hair. "Goodnight mi reina." I gasped. "You know what that means?" He kissed my forehead. "Yes my queen. I've been dreaming of calling you all sorts of things since the moment I laid eyes on you." I smiled. "Like what." He thought for a minute. "Cariño, Corazón, Mi Vida, mi ángel and mía. You're mía Catalina Martín, mía." I blushed and kissed him deeply. He groaned and parted my lips with his tongue. "You're mío Aaron Blackford, mío."

He pulled away only by an inch. "I've been wanting to hear you say that." I smiled and kissed him softly. "I've been wanting to say it. I hadn't realized but I did Cariño, I did."

He kissed me deeply again and then leaned his head back on the pillow. "I love you but we need to get some sleep." I sighed. "You're right guapo, you have a lot of people to meet tomorrow." He sighed. "That's fine hermosa because now we don't have to pretend. I never was by the way, never." I kissed the skin over his heart again. "I know Aaron, I know."

He kissed me again and buried his face in my hair. I smiled and tucked my face into his neck and kissed it. He groaned and kissed my head.

"Goodnight mi amor." I smiled. "Goodnight."

For the first time I think in my whole life I was truly happy. Sure I was happy before but never like this I realized. He made me feel safe and loved and I knew that he would always continue to do that and I loved that.

I fell asleep comfortably in my man's arms right where I belonged.

Aaron's pov:

I fell asleep with the love of my life wrapped tight in my arms.
