Chapter 9: Hospital Visit And Momo

⚠️THIS CHAPTER INCLUDES SOME SADNESS, SAMUEL HAYDEN BEING THE DAD OF THE YEAR, AND THE START OF A POSSIBLE HAREM⚠️

[This takes place the day after the USJ attack, those with minor injuries were healed on the spot by Recovery Girl and paramedics with healing quirks while the more seriously injured one's like Jirou and Aizawa(his not nearly being as bad as in the anime.) being taken to their respective hospitals. Flynn had tried to get into the ambulance with Jirou but the paramedics stopped him so he just decided to visit his old friends back in the Fortress of Doom(No, I didn't forget Vega and Hayden).]

Just walking through the portal, Flynn was looking down at the polished floor, clearly worried.
"Hmm?" The 9ft tall robot named Hayden looked over to the closing portal and noticed Flynn.
"Ah, welcome back Slayer. Haven't seen you in a while." He said in his usual tone.
Flynn didn't answer.
"Something bothering you Slayer?" Hayden asked in a slightly inquisitive tone.
Again, Flynn didn't answer, only looking up at Hayden with tears threatening to fall down his face again. The image of Jirou being carried hastily into the ambulance without him. He missed her already. Hayden was surprised to see the once rageful killing machine in such a worried and sad state. He immediately stopped what he was doing and quickly walked over to the teen Slayer, kneeling to Flynn's level and he puts a hand on Flynn's shoulder almost like a father would his son.
"What's wrong?" Hayden asked with genuine concern in his robotic voice.
After a few moments, the Slayer finally replied,
"I-it's my fault.." He looks down again. "It's my fault she got hurt... it's my fault... it's my fault..." He repeats, about to go into a panic.
Hayden freezes since he hasn't dealt with this kind of thing in a long time, plus it's his first time seeing Flynn this distraught. He simply decides to pull Flynn into a tight hug, not knowing what to do he just stays there awkwardly hugging the Slayer.

A few minutes pass of Flynn silently crying into his robotic friend's shoulder, the latter trying his best to comfort Flynn. (I got a bit lazy here)
Hayden releases the hug and puts his hands on Flynn's shoulders.
"Now, will you tell me what happened..?" Hayden says in a tone a father comforting a small child would use.
Flynn looks down a bit, "Kyoka... She got hurt... Because of me..." He says sadly.
"Hey. No. I'm sure she didn't. You did your best. Whatever happened is only the fault of whoever inflicted the damage."  Hayden says, trying his best.
<So that's her name. Kyoka.> Hayden thinks to himself.

A few more minutes pass, this time in an awkward silence.

"I... Should go check on her in the hospital..." Flynn says in a somber tone.
Hayden looks down at him, now fully standing up again.
"Let me come with. I've been wanting to check out the world." Hayden asks, curious.
Flynn nods at this.
"Vega. Open a portal to the hospital nearest to the Unforeseen Stimulation Joint." Hayden asks the A.I. which had been silent so far.
"Yes sir." The A.I. responds, opening a portal.
Flynn walks into the portal followed by Doctor Samuel Hayden.

In front of ______ Hospital, the duo walks out of the blue portal, some civilians in the surrounding area were surprised by the portal and thought that it might have been villains attacking, but were confused when Flynn walked out and was even more confused and even a little amazed when Hayden walked out. Flynn and Hayden looked around a bit, the latter more than the former.
"So this is Japan eh?" Hayden says in English.
Many onlookers were even more confused as they expected him to speak Japanese. Flynn motions towards Hayden to follow, which Hayden does. The 2 dwarf anyone they walk by especially Hayden. They enter the hospital and approach the front desk. The lady at the desk looks up at them, her face briefly turning to surprise and shock before turning to normal.
"Hello! How may I help you?" She asks.
"Uh... Yeah... I'm here to visit my girlfriend... Kyoka Jirou?" Flynn asks, still a little shaky from earlier.
The lady smiles and checks through some papers. After a few seconds of checking, she looks up and gives a sad smile.
"I'm sorry... She's still in surgery... But if you'd like to wait, she should be out of surgery in about 30 minutes."
"I... See..." Flynn says, looking down.
"I'll need you two to sign your name right here with who you're visiting." The receptionist hands Flynn a clipboard and pen. He signs his name and writes Kyoka Jirou under visiting, he hands it to Hayden who signs "Samuel Hayden" and Kyoka Jirou as well.  They begin to walk to the lounge chairs to wait. (I've never really been in a hospital so I don't know the correct terminology.)
"Hey! Wait!" The receptionist calls to Flynn, who in response turns his head with a still sad look on his face.
"I thought I should let you know that someone else is already here to visit her!." She says and gives a warm smile.
"Thanks.." Flynn replies.
