Today's gonna be a good day. I know it.

I woke up to a beautiful sky. My mom made the best breakfast ever. I'm early today. I guess my luck has finally changed.

My name is Jamie Russell. I'm 18 and I have brown eyes, brown hair, and I'm tall-ish. Plain as ever.

I lead the most boring life. But today feels a bit different.

I always walk to school as our house was close by. It was a 10 minute walk to school.

As I was crossing the road- it was a red light- ,from the corner of my eye, I saw a car speeding towards me. Thinking it would stop at the red light, I continued walking.

Oh how wrong I was.

The driver couldn't control the car and it wasn't stopping and it was heading towards me.

Out of shock, my feet wouldn't move. I tried to move but my body was frozen on the spot.

*Crash*

Today's gonna be a good day. I know it.

Not.

Where am I?

What is this place?

I probably sounded like the clueless person in a horror or thriller movie.
But I couldn't care less. I had no clue whatsoever was going on or where the heck I was.

I tried to register my surroundings.

I was most probably in the woods/ a forest, I was sure I'd never gone to before.

I couldn't remember anything.

Suddenly, I heard my name being called by a voice completely foreign to me. "Jamie..."

Oh, the irony of having your name being called in the middle of the woods. Oh well, at least I remember my name!

I followed the voice, into the woods. My feet crunching against the twigs and dried leaves.

I finally found myself in front of a strange mirror. It was grand and it was what you'd imagine a royalty owning.

"Jamie..." the voice called again.

I looked around, confused as to who was calling my name. "Who's there? What do you want?" I cried out, looking around, trying to see who the heck was calling me in the middle of an intimidating forest.

"Look into the mirror." The voice said.

"Into? I think you mean in, right?" I asked. But what really was the difference?

"No. I mean, like, literally into." the voice sounded less mystical and more
... normal.

I stood in front of the mirror and saw nothing.

Strange. I can't even see my own reflection.

I stepped closer to the mirror. I swear I couls see my reflection a few seconds ago.

Suddenly, as if it was totally normal, a face popped out of the mirror.

I jumped and shrieked out of surprise and felt to the ground, having a safe landing on my butt.
