She woke up in a haze. Her body was hot metaphorically. Her demon body didn't allow that.

She hated her body.

She saw that the weird skeleton was staring at her wonderingly.

She walked over to him.

He lifted up his hand and panted her head.

His cold bony hand brushed against her hair.

She leaned in against his hand, and he ruffled her hair.

She made a happy coo noise.

She ran up and snuggled him he made a little surprised noise but brushed it off.

She leaned in on his robe and surrounded herself in it. She sniffed in the scent that was so familiar to her brothers.

She tried to say his name, but the muzzle didn't help.

The skeleton made weird noises. But the noises sounded somewhat familiar like she spoke that language, which she didn't.

His weird sounding words started forming into sentences.

She could make out the words, "muzzle" and "off," and most importantly, she made out of the sentence. "Why muzzle?"

She snuggled into his robe, and the skeleton just groaned a defeated noise.

She thought for a minute. 'What was that dream about?'

'Wait, do I know who that person in the field was?' Her memory's slowly leaving her.

'He feels familiar. It feels like pleasing him is the most important - No! Tanjiro is the most important!'

She didn't know who was in the field, wait, she didn't know? She's getting confused.

'More headpats-?'

She brought her hand to touch his cold boney one and placed it on her head.

The skeleton started patting her head again, and she made a happy noise.

Reaper sans POV.

he always got nervous when he touched the little girl. He didn't want what happened to chara to happen to her.

He hasn't really been the same since then, but this little girl helped, like how Geno had helped, too. He never told him he didn't want to worry him when he already had too much on his plate.

He kept his problems to himself.

And this little girl could apparently touch him? He knew why, though.

He knows this girl wasn't human.

He knew that when he saw her.

She was something else.

He frowned slightly. She was off.

This morning, he had found her almost in tears in her sleep. He was really tempted to call Dream. But he just brushed it off.

But now she has this uncomfortable look before making him pat her head more?

He didn't like this.

He needed coffee.

She needs coffee, too.

Also, what the heck is up with her soul?

Whatever.

He lifted the little girl up, and she cradled in his arm, snoring silently.

He teleported to an Au with the best coffee!
