Wei Wuxian was tense the whole day.
The only thing that was in his mind was the powdery-like mark that Jin Guangyao claimed to be the real mark.
He couldn't focus on his work, and even spilled ink on an important scroll.
It was such a tiring day for him.
Eventually, he finally returned to his palace and Jin Guangyao was already waiting for him.
He had his signature smile, directly in Wei Wuxian's face.
He was hiding something behind his back, and Wei Wuxian immediately layed his eyes on the mark.

Jin Guangyao accepted his embrace, pulling him closer.
Wei Wuxian quickly eyed the fake mark on his neck, his eyes turning red.
He kept it a secret, since they were both married now.
Wei Wuxian pulled away and cupped Jin Guangyao's cheek, then give his forehead a light kiss.
Jin Guangyao blushed momentarily, but quickly smiled after.
"A-xian, dinner arrived earlier. Let's eat it before it gets too cold." Jin Guangyao mumbled.
Wei Wuxian nodded and went to the dining room, following Jin Guangyao from behind.
He never took his eyes off the mark, since it looked suspicious, and it didn't look like that before.
It looked unfinished.
Jin Guangyao felt that someone was looking at his neck, but he brushed it off, not even thinking about Wei Wuxian getting suspicious.

Jin Guangyao was sleeping peacefully. It was midnight, when Wei Wuxian suddenly woke up.
He blinked his eyes open, and looking at Jin Guangyao. He then looked at the mark, and made a risky action.
He touched Jin Guangyao's mark, and there was residue of makeup.
Wei Wuxian's eyes widened.
The deputy gods were right..!
He looked at the makeup on his finger, then looked back at Jin Guangyao, who was sleeping like a log.
Suddenly, he remembered Lan Wangji. The innocent boy who was the real owner of his mark. His real soulmate.
Wei Wuxian's eyes formed tears at the thought. He felt guilty for not believing the deputy gods earlier.
