POV: it's your engagement party and you are in an arranged marriage made by your parents. You don't even like the guy and love someone else. That someone else being Tanjiro

"Sit." Your father says to you.
You sit down in a big chair he had in his room.

"(y/n), this marriage is a good thing I promise, not only is h/n (husbands name) a good man, but this will help take our families status higher!" He explains to you.
You sink into the chair in sadness.

Of course this was about status. Your parents cared about nothing less. Your sisters on the other hand, actually cared about what you wanted, yet you never told them that you had feelings for someone else. Shinobu, your older sister, probably knew. You look at the picture of your late eldest sister, Kanae.

Your father motions for you to stand, and then pulls you into a hug. You look around and start to see someone.

No, it couldn't be.

Tanjiro! He was here?!

He gives you his winner smile and comes closer.

Your father walks you downstairs and to your future husband and his father. You stand their silently as your father and his
share a hug.

Then again he appears.

"What borders are there now? What compulsions now?" I am here, I am here, I am here, I am here."

You blink and he is next to you again. He snaps his fingers on the other side to get your attention there, quickly moving to that side. He then is lifting your hand for you so that you can accept the ring your husband is giving you.

As the ring slips on everyone is happy and celebrating. Everyone except you. Everyone is dancing around you.

Even Tanjiro, bumping into your shoulders, trying to get you to dance. Instead you try to touch his face, but he disappears into the crowd before you can. You are alone, only surrounded by the people dancing around you.

~time skip~

You were alone in your room, taking off your jewelry.

He appears again behind you.

"I am a secret you can never hide." He sings poetically while cupping one side your your face, lifting you up.

"I am the touch you can't forget." He sings while turning you around and hugging you from behind, starting to talk and kiss into your neck.

He then starts to slip your shirt off, and cover you with a nearby scarf, so that your private parts wouldn't be seen. He sees your eyes go wide and a blush appear, but he calms you down with a smile.

"Why are you surprised at our mind connection?" He sings while wrapping you.

"Because I am the voice of your heart."
He then picks you up bridal style. You dip your head all the way back, before looking up at him.

"Listen if you can to the rhythms of your heart, I am here, I am here, I am here, I am here." He sings while carrying you to the bed.

He drops you down and inches his face closer, almost kissing you, but you pull him down and into a hug instead.

"What borders are there now? What compulsions now?" He sings while dipping his face into the nape of your neck.

~time skip~

For the next few days, he was everywhere. You were sitting at the top of the stairs with Shinobu as she did your hair. He showed up out of nowhere and brings your head down to meet his.

Later that day Naho had given you a cookie. Tanjiro comes from the left and takes a bite before you can.

Later, in a dimly lit room, he carefully spins you around as Aoi is blowing candles out around you guys.

~time skip~

You are sitting on the railing of the balcony.

"I am the only one who occupies your thoughts. I am in all the answers you seek and in all the questions you ask." He sings out to you from the garden below you.

You run down to meet him and engulf him into a hug.

"I'm there in each and every one of your dreams. I am in the shining light of your eyes" he sings, sitting on the edge of a fountain, cuddling you from behind.

You guys get up and run to some hedges around and start to walk. But he walks away from you. He talks from behind, causing you to turn around and find him.

Wherever you'll look. Wherever you'll see me." He sings. He then snaps, and is back right next to you. He then starts to repeat that same line

"I am here, I am here, I am here, I am here."

It starts to rain so you run to the nearest place that has a roof you can find shelter under.

He walks towards you lean ing on the wall, and stands in front of you, in a pinning sort of way. You try to walk away, but he grabs your wrist and pulls you back into the rain.

"Darling...look around, the distance between us lies no more. I am here, I am here, I am here, I am here. What borders are there now? What compulsions now?" I am here, I am here, I am here, I am here." He sings, turning you around, so that his chin could rest on your shoulder.

You couldn't bare with this anymore. You break out of his hold and run into your house. You run into your room and jump onto your bed, lying there with your wet from the rain, face staining the pillows.

"I am here, I am here, I am here, I am here."

You still here his voice, faded around you. You look up and realization hits you.

He was never there.

You imagined it.

You cried, re-burying your face into the pillows.

"...(y/n)?" Shinobu comes into your room, and starts to rub your back, her eyes filled with worry.

"SHINOBU!" You yell while throwing yourself into her arms.

"Shinobu tell him to go away, he is everywhere, please tell him to leave. I am seeing him everywhere." You plead with your older sister.

She finally realizes what happened. She finally realizes her siblings true feelings.
