I knew I was probably crushing Harry, but I didn't care. He still had me off my feet, and I don't know how much time passed before he lowered me to the ground and loosened his grip on me. When he stepped back from me, his grin was still plastered on his face.

I reached out and punched his arm. His face quickly turned to fake sadness and he pouted. "What was that for?" He sniffed.

"For not wearing a bloody helmet, you absolute twat!" I exclaimed.

He raised his eye brows and then threw his head back laughing, his shoulders rising with each chuckle. I narrowed my eyes, and punched him again, but this time, harder.

"OW! Aw come on Harley, I'd look like a total wuss if I wore one." He rubbed his arm where I'd punched him.

"I don't care. You promised, and you were going so fast! You scared the shit out of me!" I could feel my anger bubbling up inside me, but he just smiled again.

"Hey, hey, come here." He stepped closer to me, and put his arm around my shoulders, rolling me into his chest. "You don't have to worry about me, sunshine. I'll always be right here, I promise."

"You promised me you'd wear a helmet." I whispered. He didn't say anything but he just squeezed my shoulders.

The crowd surrounding us quickly depleted, but our closest friends remained. Anya, George, Charlie, Rachel and Kieren all sat on the hood of Harry's car, while we moved onto the roof. It was the middle of summer, and the sun had set, but was throwing the most beautiful red colour through the sky, illuminating Harry's face.

"I can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming home." He teased, nudging my shoulder. His green eyes shining in the light.

"Well, you know that would defeat the purpose of a surprise, silly." I laughed. looking down at my feet.

"You look good, Harley, seriously. I can't believe it's been a year." He reached under my chin and forced me to look at him. "I missed you." I couldn't help it, my heart seemed to start beating faster in my chest, my cheeks flushing.

I smiled, but I couldn't keep looking at him. "Hey, don't you miss me too?" He said softly, and I could hear the tinge of sadness in his voice.

I snapped my head up to look at him. "Of course I did, like you have no idea." I breathed, it was like I let a weight come off my shoulders telling him that.

He grinned and I leaned my head on his shoulder. I was shivering, but only a little bit. "Cold?" He asked.

"I'm just used to the Australian heat." I chuckled.

"Come on, lets get you home."

"Wait," I grabbed his arm before he hopped off the roof. "Can we go for a drive?"

He broke into a huge grin and hopped down from the roof, holding his hands out for me. "Now you're talking." I laughed, and taking his hands, jumping down from the roof.

"Right, idiots. Get off my car, I'm taking Harley home." He said, not letting go of one of my hands. Anya noticed and nudged George.

"Fine, we know when our company isn't wanted." She sighed, and rolled her eyes. The group slid off the hood, and made way to Anya's car.

"Wait, you're coming to the fair tomorrow, right?"

"Fair?" I raised my eyebrows. I loved rollercoasters.

"You didn't tell her?" Anya looked pointedly at Harry.

"She wasn't supposed to be home. But yes, there's a fair coming into town. We're all going, and so are you." He nudged me again.

"I can't say no to rollercoasters and hot dogs!" Harry laughed and I flushed.

"Come on, you." He led me around to the passenger door and opened it for me.

Before I got in, I noticed the straps on the car. I turned to him, "Straps?"

"I told you I'd be safe, didn't I?" He winked.

Getting into the seat, I reached for the straps, but Harry got there first. "Let the experienced one do it." He said with a dark smile. I flushed a deep shade of read as his hands worked over me, tightening me into my seat.

"See? Safe, right?"

"I'm not so sure." I whispered as the door closed on me. He got into the drivers seat and looked at me, with the same dark look in his eyes.

"Ready for the best ride of your life?"

And he started the engine.
