Before the fire

-Mayas pov-
I was peacefully sleeping next to my absolutely beautiful wife when my alarm begins to go off "arggg" I groan I'm so comfy and I really don't wanna move. "Good morning to you too bambina" carina says laughing "im too comfortable to get up" I say not wanting to get ready for work. "Bella you have to get up you have work in like an hour" carina reminds me "I know but I'm so cozy and you're so cuddly and I just don't want to move" I whine, carina looks at me and sighs "maya I love these morning snuggles I really do but you have to get up for work Bella" carina says "can I at least have a kiss before I get up?" I ask with a smile carina looks at me and grins "sì come here bambina" she says before softly kissing me and after a few minutes she pulls back from the kiss "there now go get ready captain Andrea Herrera will kick both my ass and your ass if you are late" carina says laughing "that's true Andy will kill me if I'm late whilst she's captain" I agree and get out of bed and ready for my shift.

Once I was in my uniform I went down stairs to see carina in the kitchen making coffee "I better get going can't be late" I say carina looks at me and smiles "oh so you care about being late now? That didn't bother you forty minutes ago when we where in bed" carina says giggling "no it didn't bother me then because I had just woke up and I was comfortable" I say chuckling "I made you some coffee to take with you" carina says smiling "thank you my love" I say kissing carina on the cheek "I'm going to go but I will be home tonight around 5pm maybe later if there is a big fire I'll let you know. I love you bye" I say picking up my coffee and walking towards the door "I love you to bambina Caio" carina says waving. I get in the car and begin driving to the station.

-At work-
I walk in and go into the kitchen "hey" I say loudly announcing I'm here and everyone shouts hi back. "So when everyone has finished with breakfast I want you all down for a line up and I will assign everyone a job for today do you understand?" Andy says firmly "yes captain" we all shout back "19!" Andy shouts and we all shout "19!" Back.
After breakfast we went downstairs and and lined up waiting on Andy to come out and inspect us then give us our jobs for the day. "Alright warren and Montgomery you guys are on aid car today, Hugh's is off today so Gibson you're on desk duty and bishop you and I will clean the turnouts and fire trucks. Does everyone know what they are doing?" Andy asks "yes captain" we all say "alright then off you go!" Andy shouts

"Ok so what are we getting done first captain?" I ask looking at Andy "I think we should get the turnout's cleaned first then we can start on the fire trucks, is that alright with you maya?" Andy asks "yeah that's fine let's just get this over with" I say picking up the bag that is full of all the dirty turnouts. After about an hour into working we hear the alarms going off.

"Let's go" I say rushing out of the room and down to the fire trucks where we all quickly got gear on and left the station.
