It was a rainy day, and there's nothing to do but play games, dance in the rain, or watch films. But since nobody wanted to go out in the cold, windy rain and we already watched every good movie we had games. Nobody wanted board or card games. Only one option really. "I'm so bored" Lucy says to cardboard ben. Ben is talking to Rami, and Gwil is on FaceTime with his friend.

"Let's play a game." I say. "Whoever has the best pickup line will get a kiss." Everyone considers it and then Rami says "I'm game." And Gwil, Joe, Ben, and Lucy all agree. Lucy goes first. "Are you a fish? Cause you're a catch." She says trying to keep a straight face. "Good but it could be better." I say laughing. "Ok Joe you're up" Lucy steps to the back of this sort of line that formed. Joe steps to the front. "Ok uh, girls are pink, boys are blue, i would be honored to make purple with you."

He smirks and I smile at him. "That was good, but I don't fancy poetry." he takes cardboard Ben to the end of the line. "Mr farenheit! Let's see what you got." The moment I've been dreading. I've always sort of had a thing for him. I don't know what it was though. Maybe it was his smile. Or his voice. Maybe his charisma, or the look in his cold emerald green eyes that brimmed with happiness and laughter. Or that he had qualities that I admire in people. Honesty, loyalty, happiness, optimism, humbleness.

He steps to the front of the line. He pins me against the wall about a foot behind me. He raises he knee next to mine and slams his hand on the wall. My fantasy. He uses his other hand to lift up my chin and says in a lower than usual tone "I can't have your beautiful brown eyes, but our kids can." In my mind all I can think is: don't squeal don't react don't blow this. I snap back to reality. He leans in and presses his lips against mine. I jump back in shock and break the kiss.

"HEY NO FAIR YOU HAVE TO EARN IT!" Joe shouts from the back of the line. "OOoh lala" Lucy says. Ben's mouth is wide open from shock, and I can tell he's a little jealous. I want to go back in but, Ben's still waiting for his turn. Ben storms off outside and I can't help but feel a little guilty. This was supposed to be fair and fun for everyone. Rami and I chase after him.
