" ♫I hope your miserable until your dead ♫""Atsumu this, Osamu that, why does everything have to be about you two!?" Rio cried out as she broke in muffled sobs. "Well maybe if yer showed that you were proud of us then we wouldn't have ignored ya!" Atsumu yelled out as he was deeply upset that she had stopped calling them by the nicknames she gave for them. "I am proud of you! I went to all your games, practices, heck, I even became your team's manager even though I have'a tight schedule!" Rio fought back, as she gripped her fists tightly. "Rio—" Rio snapped as she glared at Osamu, "Don't you dare call me Rio! Fame and, and popularity have changed you both drastically in a way I wouldn't have expected! Yes, I'm proud of ya both, I really am! But do you know how much it hurts to see us distance further and further and act as if we aren't friends because you two are fucking embarrassed that your friends with the quiet kid!?" Rio shouted as she had a complete outburst, shocking the miya twins.
"Ya know what!? Ya literally replaced us with those dorks you talk to in class! You never even spare us a glance!" Osamu, this time yelled. As rio gritted her teeth, she clenched her jaw as she threw a harsh punch at osamu's face. Silence filled the room as the twins looked at rio in shock, who in return started crying more. "And tell yer stupid fangirls to stop bullying me. It's goddamn annoying." Rio said as she left their house, which was a few blocks away from hers.
Twisting the front door of her house, she whispers a soft 'I'm home,' as if anyone else lives there.
Rio had lived alone for most of her life. Yes, she had parents, but they were always away. Heck, they didn't even live in the same roof. Her mom lived all the way in the Miyagi Prefecture, while her dad was in America for business. Her and her parents weren't exactly close, and they came twice or thrice a year at most to celebrate. Her aunt lived with her while she was young, but she soon left as she had her own life, so you could say she had temporary house guards, and stuff.
Rio entered her room, laying down on her bed. "We fought, again. And this time I punched 'samu." Silence. Rio wasn't used to silence. Feeling her eyes burn once again, she prevented the tears from falling down. Sitting up, she glanced at the picture frame of her, 'tsumu, and 'samu. Clenching her jaw, she punched the picture frame, feeling anger and sadness devour her. Not even wincing at the pain that involved her knuckles, her knuckles began to bleed from the impact. Yet again, she ignored the bleeding as her tears finally streamed down her face as if it was raining. 'I won't apologize again. This isn't my fault, Rio this isn't your fault. They've been ignoring you, even replaced you with someone else. This time, you won't apologize.' Rio thought to herself as she looked at her image in the mirror.
It was finally the last day of school. None of them had said anything to each other nor apologized. Why won't you look at me? Rio desperately stared at 'tsumu who ignored her. Ah.. they want me to apologize instead.
Rio didn't even bother apologizing, instead she was waiting for them to apologize, but they never did.
And middle school ended with a bunch of regrets, from the twins and Rio.
MIYA TWINS POV
The day after we fought with Rio, me and 'samu thought she took it too far, she even punched 'samu! I huffed as I stared at the picture of us in my phone. "You b-better apologize." I glared directly to the photo of 'samu, rio and I. Feeling tears form at the corner of my eye, tears ran down my face as I looked at her in the picture. "I miss you already.. so hurry up and apologize."
It was the next day after the fight. We chose to ignore rio and wait until she apologizes. Rio didn't seem to care about us anymore, not even sparing a glance. This is just her act, anyway. Osamu reminded himself as he spiked the ball tossed to him, hard.
It seemed like the fight and the injury Rio gave to the male upset him deeply. The substitute setter, who took notice of this, glanced at him. "What? Ya got something to say? Spit it out." Osamu glared at the extra, who cowered in fear, mumbling a soft apology to the angry male.
It was the final day of school. The next time they'd see each other is when they turn 15. Osamu and Atsumu looked at eachother, and huffed. We'll definitely get her apology!
As the twins ignored the shorter female in the halls, they caught sight of her looking back at the two siblings desperately, as if waiting for something. When they ignore the shorter female, she quickly turned her head back, then walked to her class as if nothing happened. Shocked by this, atsumu shuddered. 'What?'
And just like that, middle school ended for the trio.
Even after what happened, not once did any of them apologize.
