it's been a long week after I found out we are moving across the country. I was on my way to my last gymnastic class. Golden Heights has been my home for the past 9 years. I couldn't imagine my life without it. I would loose all my friends too. "We have to go sweetie!" My mom said from across the house. I quickly grabbed my bag and my coat rushing to the front door. As I climbed into the passenger seat, I realized this would be the last car ride to my favorite place ever. The car ride was so silent you could hear a pin drop. "This will be a good beginning for you Y/N. Just stay positive and it will go alright. You can do this. All of us will be there for you." Mom said. "I know mom. But this is my favorite place on earth. How am I supposed to leave it AND all my friends?" "You will find new ones. Do you have everyone's numbers?" "Yeah. But people say there is no service from across the country." "Don't listen to people. Trust me."

We didn't talk after that. After a while, we got to the gymnasium. My mother walked me in for the last time. "Bye sweetie." She said, giving me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Bye mom, love you." "Love you! See you soon." She got into the car and drove away into the torturous traffic of the city. I'm going to miss this so much. I walked in with the classic smell of golden heights. Danielle was at the front desk ready to greet me. I walked into the gym and ran to my group.

We started off quickly with a rope exercise. We then did floor routines and did a quick beam exercise. We stopped and I heard whispers. I looked around to find my dad with a video camera and an older guy who looked to be in his mid twenties with a tripod. What the? Why was my dad here? Was this a joke? "

Dad what are you doing here?" "Surprise! Since it's your last day of gymnastics, we will do a video with you and your friends!" "Dad what? Can I talk to you?" My dad walked up and started saying yes, but I cut him off and told him I wanted to talk privately. "Dad what are you doing here. This is supposed to be my last day at my favorite place. This is MY day. Not yours to make a stupid video so you could 'go viral.' Please just put that thing away and go. Including that guy you brought with you." "Y/N..-" "GO." He left. I didn't feel bad for him. It was awkward the next few hours. My mom came at the usual time. I said a huge goodbye to all my friends and my coach. Danielle gave me a big hug as I left the building taking a deep breath inhaling my favorite smell for the last time.

Of course, before me and my mom go home, we always stop at the nearest Starbucks and grab something. The last stop at Starbucks. Wow. I will definitely miss this. When we got home, Hudson said that we should take a break from dad and go to a bagel shop. Hudson, my mom, and I walked down the streets until we got to our favorite bagel place, "Bagel café." It was my favorite. We ordered our usual bagels and beverages. My favorite waitresses gave me a big hug as we left for the last time. On our way home, I tried to get a good look at all the sights of the city we will probably never see again. The rumbling of the subways and the bangs on our feet when we step on a metal vent. Even if we do come back, it will never be the same.
