You brought the can of coffee to your lips as you watched the city from the broken window of the old bowling building. Your other hand brushed against the shards of hanging glass. The gentle cool breeze hit your face. Dull and dark nights had always reminded you of him. Of the many days you spent depressed and mourned after him. Of how he mutilated your heart with malice so many years ago. The aluminium can crushed under your grip.

Manjiro Sano was late.

You leaned against the window frame, tucking a strand of hair behind your ears as you glanced around the moonlit room. It was dirty. Old cracked paint peeled itself off the water-damaged walls. A trail of your footprint laid on the dust and dirt covered wooden floor.

The door clicked open. You blearily glanced at the door. Your temples throbbed at the sight of him. There stood the pinnacle of your suffering. His cold black eyes stared back at you. Hands in his trousers pockets. This man wasn't the Mikey you knew and loved. This man had fallen into the pit of darkness by his own choice.

Sanzu raised the gun to your head. "Glad that you came afterall." You didn't even notice him. "Don't move or I'll shoot." He grinned wickedly

"I was starting to think you wouldn't show up again." You said to Manjiro and leaned your head against the frame.

"Shut-" Sanzu suddenly found himself on the floor, wheezing for air. "You- Ack!" You stomped on his wrist and yanked the gun out of his grip. Now, Sanzu was looking up the barrel of the gun.

"Leave." You finally acknowledged him. Sanzu looked at Manjiro, who wordlessly told him to leave, and he scrambled up to leave the two of you alone.

You watched Manjiro, his eyes were empty, it was like the light that once sparkled in his eyes was never there. Manjiro watched as you aimed the gun at him.

"You haven't changed a bit, have you?" Manjiro finally said. Your heart swelled.

"You don't have the right to say that." You changed everything. You broke me. And you finally show up when I start mending myself. "You don't know anything about me." You managed to spit out. You didn't even realise you took a few steps towards him.

"Is that so?" Manjiro strode towards you. "I know you haven't changed at all [Y/N]. You're still the same weak girl chasing after me. Your music says it all."

"You threw me away." You grit your teeth. "Then storm back into my life when I'm doing good. God, I'm starting to think you only exist to torment me."

"You only just realised after all this time? And I thought you were smarter than that." Manjiro tilted his head as he looked up at you.

"No, Sano," You wondered if he hated this as much as you did, that this didn't feel right or were you really what he said you were? A weakling? You gripped the gun tight, "I'm a fool. I was in love with a monster and still chased after you after you broke me. I fucking hate you."

"Really?" He said amused. "Prove it." He held your hand and aimed the gun to his heart. "Kill me if you hate me so much." End my misery.

Surprised, you shook his hands away. "Don't touch me. Don't tell me what to do."

Manjiro sighed, and before you could talk more, he pulled down your neck and slid his free hand around your waist. Yanking you closer. His lips collided with yours. You dropped the gun, your hand on his chest - feeling the steady thud of each heart beat. Manjiro held you closer to him.

It was warm. And it was too much. It was intoxicating, you could feel it consume you, dragging you closer to madness yet it felt utterly, and completely, pure. You knew this had to stop. It was dangerous. But you didn't want to let go. The ghost of your past washed over you. Your cheeks felt wet but Manjiro wiped the tears away.

You knew he didn't want to let go either.

Manijro held you tighter as you tried to push away. You pushed harder this time and he readily fell back, bringing you down with him. His hand held you by your neck as you sat on his abdomen. You both looked at each other. There were so many things you wanted to say and so much more that you wanted, no, needed, to ask. You felt your vision blur as droplets of tears fell onto Manijro's face. So many years you had spent building a wall around you had suddenly been shattered with a simple kiss. You felt so pathetic.

"I love you." Mikey confessed. Your heart only yearned more painfully. "I know you still love me too." He placed his head against yours, the tip of both your nose lightly bumped together. "You can't kill me. At least not in this final timeline." He said, his voice more gentle.

You slid your hand onto his cheek, still staring into each other's eyes, and your other hand reached for the fallen gun.

"I hate you, I really fucking hate you." You cried.

"I know."

BANG.
